  1. Great rescue, well done! maybe you should have posted these photos in your old thread to link the before and after?
  2. Entry up to 8 cars now, would be nice to see a few more....
  3. Poly bushes are usually a good upgrade for small saloon front suspension. Mick Dolphin is another good source for such spares. I suspect you could easily return the Rimmers bush if it turned out to be wrong.
  4. A good day out and a long overdue excuse to drag the Stag out of hibernation. Thanks to Dale and Nigel for a rally that offered a good balance between challenge and fun, traversing some nice roads! The lunch venue was also spot on. Well done to Annie & David.
  5. Organised by our old friends from the BCC. https://www.clubtriumph.co.uk/treasure-hunt/intro/
  6. Originally an auto - does anyone know the significance of the "sc" on the chassis plate?
  7. That has had a lot of tinkering during its lifetime! Must have been a special car in its day!
  8. Without realising at the time, I got a speck in my eye once. It was only picked up by the optician a few months later who thought it was metal fragment or similar and referred me to hospital. The eye doctor scrutinised it at length under a magnifier, scratched his head and said "it looks like a speck of paint". The penny then dropped, it ws very well stuck to my eyeball and took some effort to remove!
  9. If only I didn't already have so many Triumphs 🙂

  18. Entries to the 2023 Winslow Classic Run are now open. This will be the seventh time we have run the event which has become increasingly popular and whilst it provides a great way to enjoy your classic car, also raises over £3,000 a year for our charity funds. The 2023 start is at the picturesque village green at Fringford, on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Hot bacon rolls and coffee will be available (included in the entry cost) while you mingle with the other entrants and then it will be time to study the route book, fasten your rally plate and set off to enjoy a route carefully chosen to suit classic cars. Navigators will find the roadbook easy to follow as you enjoy the drive through the beautiful Cotswolds where there are many delightful inns to be found for lunchtime refreshment: whilst you are welcome to find your own favourite the organisers have tested many and you will find the best listed in the roadbook. The finish is at Turweston Flight Centre near Brackley, home to over 80 aircraft of various types in both original and replica forms covering more than 110 years of aviation history. The Flight Deck Cafe with its panoramic views across the live airfield will be open to serve hot drinks, sandwiches and homemade cakes and there are outdoor areas for picnics if you prefer. Guided tours of the historic aircraft based at Turweston will be available throughout the afternoon. Numbers are limited to 100, so early entry is advised - visit http://www.winslowclassicrun.org where you can enter and pay online or, if you prefer, download an entry form to post with your cheque.
  19. Dear all, This is the last call for reserving a place at the Hurdlemakers next weekend. Thank you to those who have sent me their menu choices and to those who have said that they are unable to come. If you have not already got in touch but would like to join us, please email me your intentions and preferably menu choices as soon as you can. ct@the-bish.co.uk Kind regards Mike
