  1. This is a great event that has seen many CT crews travelling over to The Netherlands to participate in. Navigation is via tulip diagrams and although mildly competitive, the emphasis is on the social side with some driving fun. Entrants can just drive the route if they prefer. No special preparation is needed, road cars are fine and the drive is on metalled roads, although we have been known to divert down an occasional farm track on more than one occasion! If you fancy giving it a go, ping the guys a message!
  2. Dear (former) Nachtrit drivers, The nice weather has finally started and the time has come to make nice trips by car. One of the best rides of the year for us is LTV's Nachtrit. We have now started the first preparations for the 2023 night ride. The date is also set for October 28, so put it in your agenda. As usual, the ride will be approximately 250 km long, crossing several countries. Last year there were really too few participants to maintain a healthy financial basis to continue organizing this event. To get an idea of what the approximate number of participants can be, we ask you to indicate by reply to this email whether you intend to participate. This is to be able to make an estimate and is not an obligation. So spread the word and get others excited to join too!! Regards, The organization of the LTV Nachtrit Leon, Theo and Roger http://nachtrit2023@hccnet.nl
  3. Isn't Chic Doig up that way? https://www.chicdoig.co.uk/

  6. You can get black silicone now that does not detract much from the original
  7. Yep I have one identical. Some sumps, gearboxes, diffs etc have fill/drain plugs that have a square recess in them, needing a square peg key to undo etc. The draper one fits a variety of sizes. If you were very lucky and had a half inch or 3/8 one, a ratchet/extension would do the same job!
  8. ****RE-SCHEDULED FOR 10th SEPTEMBER 2023*** Scatter rally in the Great Leighs area, Essex. Suitable for families and children. Organised by Chelmsford Motor Club. Full details HERE
  9. Sorry to hear that, hope she gets well soon!
  10. Cracking day out was had by all, 1st Triumph - Lewis Wake (Scrapman's nephew), 2nd Ellis Stokes, 3rd Mike Bishop
  11. 11 CT entrants, see you tomorrow!
  12. Excellent! I will consult the calendar....

Not many Roadsters in CT (if any), that I know of, although they would be most welcome! Maybe try the Pre-1940's Triumph owners club and the Triumph Roadster Club? Kind regards Mike
  14. 27 entries now, still mostly from other Clubs though. 😶
  15. 22 entries so far for what should prove to be a cracking event. Not very many from CT though 😒 Come on guys, this is an easy event, non damaging and suitable for unmodified and road cars. The Club needs your support if we are to continue to run such events into the future!
  16. From Annie: Hi all - thank so much for taking part, and I’m so glad you all enjoyed the event. Like Ellis, we’ve had a few hours’ sleep and feel more human now. We’ve been back through the results slowly and manually to triple check, and I’m afraid tired Annie brain made an error on the first totting up - which is quite dramatic for one team (Team 8, don’t worry, you’re still fine!). I apologise now for this kerfuffle - it is entirely my tired eyes fault - I missed out a minus sign on the final time penalty for Team 5! So: 1st - Team 8 (49.5 points) 2nd - Team 11 (37.5 points) 3rd - Team 4 (37 points) (4th - would be Team 2, but they were in a Mini so excluded (35 points)) 4th - Team 7 (34 points) 5th - Team 5 (32.5 points) 6th - Team 9 (29 points) 7th - Team 6 (28 points) 8th - Team 1 (27 points) 9th - Team 12 (14.5 points - an impressive base score before the time penalties, given the wheel was changed too!) All really close scores, and massive apologies to Team 5 who were demoted 3 places as they drove home. Next time, organise well, and remember all minus signs! 😳
  17. I wondered where you were! Are you doing the Hurdlemakers tonight?
  18. Ah, I'm aiming specifically at HCR entrants in case someone could pack one in their boot! After the HCR I have other possible options but none which could help me out for this weekend 🙂
  19. Not good at the last minute, but the Stag is playing up and I have no backup car. It has a misfire when the engine bay is hot that eventually results in the engine cutting out. I have changed the coil, this didnt cure the fault. I niow suspect the Lumenition eye in the distributor. Any chance of anyone having a spare?

  24. Rather different beasts! Plusses and minuses to both. Quite a few kicking a around of faceboox recently. Do you prefer manual or auto? What's your location and budget?
