I don't think there's any need to panic. I'm sure that Tim and the team will make sure that everyone gets in anyway. Everybody did last time.

That's the beauty of using Knebworth as a start location, it can cater for a lot more entries.

The club will still honour the points if entered.

However, it's under debate at present by the comps committee as to whether the 2017 championship will be extended to the end of January to include this event or include this event in the 2018 points championship.

Now that Gertie is moving into semi-retirement, the Mk1 Pi will be the weapon of choice for 2018.

Last weekend it had new big ends, new mains, new PRV and new oil pump. She goes into the body shop at the end of November for some serious tidying up. 🙂

The only thing I missed about not having a daily start point was that there were cars and more to the point, other club members that I didn't even know were on the run until I saw them at Rolduc.

Admittedly, I should have looked at the entry list more, but I still wouldn't have seen them on the run. Plus, with this years entry number increased to 85, it was always going to be difficult to get everyone all in one place as well possibly?

Change propshaft before Saturday nights rally in Warwickshire as the one on the car was 'chinking' once or twice a day on the run. Adjust the rear brakes, Erm....and that's about it really.

The car performed faultlessly as usual and covered 1,880 miles door to door.
