What has started??
Well certainly not Gertie since removed the nice Magnacor leads..
Need to find some old leads in the garage.
I had some on Sunday but forgot to give them to you. I'll bring them on Saturday 🙂

Gertie just has an ordinary OD knob I think... 😉
Ahh.....it's started already has it? 🙂

Did you break the gearknob Richard, or have you decided to convert your auto to a manual O/D?
Richard is converting to manual. I have a 'works rally type gearknob' with overdrive switch which I think he liked. (Although the one on Gertie is better quality I have to say)
Thanks for the compliment Richard, yes, the Pi is quite a car. 🙂

a trophy, even better. Absolutely no panic at all for that
That's ok, it's the second time I've been demoted down the places on this event, I'm getting used to it now!

We enjoyed the event, slightly different to the events we normally do but we managed and both came away smiling and very happy with the result
Congratulations Stuart, I'll return my Trophy to Mike at the Christmas meal so he can post it to you.
Thanks Also to my navigator on the day, Richard Warr for his efforts and good company over the weekend. 🙂

Nice pictures Pete. I've also got some, that I was taking at a couple of places on the route, so I'll add some here too.
I can also email specific car pictures to their crews if wanted.
Yes please Mike

I don't think there's any need to panic. I'm sure that Tim and the team will make sure that everyone gets in anyway. Everybody did last time.
That's the beauty of using Knebworth as a start location, it can cater for a lot more entries. -

That’s because your naughty and your not allowed in 😀
Very possibly. 🙂 Actually, I'm registered now. (and so is the Mk1 Pi) I wasn't putting a capital letter where I should have been It's case sensitive you know. 😉

The club will still honour the points if entered.
However, it's under debate at present by the comps committee as to whether the 2017 championship will be extended to the end of January to include this event or include this event in the 2018 points championship. -
Now that Gertie is moving into semi-retirement, the Mk1 Pi will be the weapon of choice for 2018.
Last weekend it had new big ends, new mains, new PRV and new oil pump. She goes into the body shop at the end of November for some serious tidying up. 🙂 -

........nothing at all to do with the road just disappearing (well it did kind of, it went into a ford)
It totally disappeared! I thought I was about to drive off the end of the world! 😲

Make sure the filler is abit thicker in the PI don't want it falling out as easily as gertie...
I've never touched the front valance on Gertie, so the filler was already there from when you and the other bodger owned it. 🙂

Notification of a car change. Gertie will now replace the Pi on this event. (The Pi will now be going in for bodywork & respray)
You have an email Mr Banks 🙂 -
Possible broken pin in the cross shaft?

Or perhaps the entry fee should be closer to the fees for Le Jog.....
Are you serious? The entry fee for this years Le Jog is £3,722.00. How many cars do you think would enter at that price?
-
Looking forward to it. Just wish I could bloody sleep! 🙁

I got my copy of the map through the post today (found a brand new one on eBay for a few quid with free postage!), and the area we'll be covering is going to be somewhat limited being as half the map is water!
That's ok Jon, most of the area that we covered last year was underwater as well. 🙂

Entry in post today from Radley/Warr
-
The only thing I missed about not having a daily start point was that there were cars and more to the point, other club members that I didn't even know were on the run until I saw them at Rolduc.
Admittedly, I should have looked at the entry list more, but I still wouldn't have seen them on the run. Plus, with this years entry number increased to 85, it was always going to be difficult to get everyone all in one place as well possibly? -

I'll navigate for you Steve if you want.
I'll take you up on that Richard. 🙂 Pm sent

Count me in for this one. Just need to find a navigator due to most of the Essex crew being on domestic duties. 🙂

Change propshaft before Saturday nights rally in Warwickshire as the one on the car was 'chinking' once or twice a day on the run. Adjust the rear brakes, Erm....and that's about it really.
The car performed faultlessly as usual and covered 1,880 miles door to door. -

There you go Nick - some old lady and her son going to Sainsburys..... 😉
Yeah, but which is which? 😀
