My hunt continues. I've got a really hankering for one now. The car that start my mini obsession earlier this year is still playing on my mind. Went cheap on eBay really local to me with mini lites, lowered and sports exhaust. I let it go as it was the first car I started looking at with interest and you all know the old saying of don't buy the first one you see. Well now I'm almost wishing I had! I shall have to be patient. Thanks again for all the advise guys. I guess while I wait I can keep saving.

There's a nice 2500s popped up on EBay. Local to me. Shame it just out of my price range. Guess I'll have to save those pennies a bit harder. 😔

Hi I think I have this problem on my Spitfire 1500. Doing my research I'm sure I can hear all the classic noises from the bearings. Sounds worse when I slow down. :-/ Thinking I'll have to replace both shafts and tempted to get the complete units from Canleys. Annoyed that I didn't do this when I rebuild the rear suspension with new spring, UJ's and poly bushes a couple of years ago. I know they are easy to work on but it does get a little frustrating when you have to undo those nilock nuts that are relatively new on the car!! ??)

Totally agree with Park Lane comments. The seats are amazing quality and in my opinion great value. I'm currently swapping over my door cards with their ones. This is never an easy job through is it! I'd forgotten how tricky it is lining up the clips onto the door from when I restored the car 13 years ago.

Cheers Ted, I must admit I'm like a big like the kid at Christmas at the moment as my lovely wife gave me the green light to buy one that came up on eBay earlier this month. It was local to me. The blue 2500TC dressed as a Pi. I was very tempted but let it go

Don't worry Ted I'll be heading over to the CT stand too. What's the thoughts on overdrive? Is it a must have or just a bonus? I know in my Spitfire it makes going on the motorway bearable. Also I perfer the look of an estate, these seem to be getting rare now. Will I be waiting forever to see one pop up?

Hi Guys, Just after any advice you could pass on about buying a MkII 2000/2500. I'm considering something that I can use and not worry about just as long as she's road worthy and sound structurally. What sort of things should I execpt to look out for on a car for £2000/£2500 Thanks in advance :)

Bruce, not sure how bad your metal bonnet is but I have a metal one that I'm trying to sell. It needs a little bit of work on the wings but nothing major. My only experience of fibre glass stuff is when I had a boot lid in fibre and it stuck up too high Cheers
