Since I was the one that replace the main beam stalk, i'm probably best to comment. The horn has always been temperamental at best, but it did work. Now whether I have rewired the headlamp switch wrong, or broken the bullet connection for the horn is loose (since I did unclip it by mistake) I am not sure, but the lights work fine. It is just a case of trying to fix the issue before the MOT on Friday ... shame i'm away till then and relying on my dad to fix it.

Sounds to me like they just need a good service and tune. Should not be to bad, and if in doubt Andrew Turner carbs is only in Grantham so not to much of a trip I would assume from Lincolnshire.

Interesting idea, and I would be intrigued to see how it comes out. I think you are right to go down the Lithium Iron battery route instead of lead acid like in the Herald, due to the extend range, weight and life. Although if you need to add cooling to the packaging that may be an interesting bit of engineering. Anyway best of luck, and keep us updated on what you do.

Not that I can help, but I am interested to know how you coupled the back box to the centre pipe as I was looking to do the same. .... saying that I may wait to see if it is better with a GT6 centre pipe? 😉

As the others have said check the earth, give all contacts a clean, you'll be amazed. Although I did also find I had a faulty indicator which was also caused by the bulb holder being very dodgy and not creating a circuit, so just another area to investigate.
