  1. I'll dig out some more recent photographs. Car is almost finished. Not bad going, it has only been 22 years since it was last on the road.
  2. Well, still knocking about. No sign of the car being back on the road yet. Had to take care of a head gasket just putting the head back together.
  3. Well found my headlight surrounds, forgot I had four:
  4. Cosmic alloys going on this week, sending the sprint wheels off for re-sealing.
  5. Thanks John, I'm fine with the current starter and the car hasn't been used for a long time so not reliant on it, much appreciated though. That GT6 was a beautiful example. Hope you had as much fun with the new one. Time does fly, thinking about it that must be at least 7/8 years ago?? Best wishes Jason
  6. Thanks JOhn, I haven't been on here for a while. Do you still have the light blue GT6? How did the dashboard go I sent you? Jason
  7. Good read. I remember when I first put a second hand engine into my Spit in 93 and it was recommended to change the flywheel to the dolomite if available as the pre-engaged starter was deemed to bemore efficient. Glad to know there is still someone who will recon as I was beginning to worry about a replacement. Thanks
  8. Very neat Nick, I like that. I'm going to get the car back on the road and MOT'd and then I'll play with this. Thanks
  9. Thanks both, will need to do something with this, shame about the remanufactured parts
  10. Just an update, came in two days, well packaged and works well. Highly recommended.

Next one, any recommendations for a supplier of a fuse box for a 1500, checked rimmers who have it but quite expensive for what it is. Any other solutions or bite the bullet and replace with the original one? Thanks
  12. Thanks both, I'll order that one now Jamie. Jason
  13. Any recommendations for the best Bosch battery for the Spit? Calling into Costco at the end of the week and would like to pick one up. Thanks
  14. Still woeking on the car inbetween my Mini resto, going to read through some of the newer posts now, hope everyone is well. Jason

You will be pleased how the new boss fits and your driving position will be much more comfortable....glad you got sorted too  ;) Thanks for the info, much better now. Jason
  17. Just an update on the Boss via a photo: Anyone want the old one? :)
  18. It's also a bit of a rust trap. I've left them off my car.
