I've no experience of Paddock shocks and springs, but I have bought other stuff from them and what I can say is they are a good supplier with an excellent reputation. If you are concerned they will accept returns so just go somewhere else. Fitchetts are not too far from Paddocks if you're in the area (I would guess an hours drive).

A recent problem on a friends car was caused by worn cam shaft and followers which caused the followers to stick in the tubes, resulting in tapping on every revolution of the cam shaft.

I bought some generic ones from a stall at a show. They were a little oversize but I just enlarged the holes slightly and they work a treat.

I'm quite envious as I've been trying to get my Herald to that stage since last October but just never seem to be able to find the time. I will get there one day. Good luck with the rebuild.
