  1. I managed to get the voltmeter on to the switches. i have power to the swicth on the left, but nothing for the one on top of the gear box and nothing at the solonoid either. assuming the switch on the side powers the solonoid, and that in turn to the switch on top of the gear box which in turn goes to the switch on the gearknob. replace solonid ?
  2. okay, reversing lights do work fine. I managed to get the voltmeter on to the switches. i have power to the swicth on the left, but nothing for the one on top of the gear box and nothing at the solonoid either. where does the switch at the top get its power from, work back: the solodoid, and then the solonoid is powered by the switch the left? so would that mean the solonoid is caput?
  3. Awesome Roger thamks, can you PM me your mob number as I may give you a call on the weekend for a chat if I get stuck if you dont mind?

  8. I held the loose wire in place and heard nothing when flicked on; without driving any other tests? Which pieces should I replace?  Both round thingys?

One of the wires came loose, so i cut a small hole in the cover to look before removing it all if I need too. Can anyone help as to where this will go, could be a very easy fix fingers crossed!. poss connects to the piece on top?

  21. Hi all I just tried turning the car over and it just won't turn over everything seems fine but won't ignite I need notice some fuel dripping from the left hand carb, which I'm assuming could mean a blockage? Any thoughts tips or things to check before I buy a rebuild kit? The petrol tank was low which could mean gung from the bottom as been sucked round Thanks and merry Christmas

  24. Hi all I made a rookie mistake today, by removing the battery to rust proof and respray the battery box, as once I finished I put the battery in the wrong way round. Hence a small bit of smoke came from the alternator (ouch) I immediately realised, and when I put it in the right way, the car wouldn't start, any tips on which fuse to replace as I am awful at electronics thanks
