as one of the cars that didn't start ..no 116 ..it was a bit weird driving the car on the tow truck and driving it off again....don't know what the issue is ,..but would only run for a couple of hundred yard before dieing ????not amused

car ran very well today..stil need to sort overdrive electrics and do  a few little jobs but quite happy at the mo

i don't think anyone has any isssue with someone  plotting  a quicker/easier route to the next control..have done it on occasion , when we've had to pop back to stirling to pick up fellow entrants from hospital, or played a bit of catch up after a break down you will, as stated by others, miss out on the RBRR experience.the route is a good one and worth doing . we only ever cut and run to get back on time so we can rejoin the spirit of the event

popped the gt6 carbs onto the saloon yesterday and it fired straight up and sounded smooth,just need to do an oil change on the diff, sort out the wiring to the overdrive ...maybe fit  a stereo, rewire spots, and  a few other little bits

carbs have now decided to play up so i've borrowed the pair off the GT6..wil fit tomorrow and see

starters pcked up.minor issue,will ust borrow one off another car

car now has MOT..let the fettling begin

doing it with two is very do-able and as scrapman says , hook up with a 3 person car and borrow a driver as and when we did it one year with two cars and 5 drivers

failed mot on bottom ball joint.will replace that tommorow and get retest thur.but plus point was..firsttime car has bee out with fresh engine and it got there and back without issue

car was booked for mot today ..but had to postpone till next week as i found the floor , round the rear right seat bolt hole , has split
