Hmm - as it's the first time I have organised an event I am worried about logistics. I think there could be quite a queue especially at the first test so could be tricky. If every one has goodwill and we suck it and see then yes lets have a go ;) I will have to give you and Katy (I presume) separate but consecutuve car numbers(think) Ferny, know it doesn't mean you'll have to go first in fact I can more or less guarantee you will be at the back of the field ;D This is because I will seed the entry with the position of the driver in the Driver Challenge - like qualifying in the GP ;D As you are not taking any points in the Driver Challenge you won't be at the front. Now if no-one enters who is in the Driver Challenge I'll then go with the Championship position.
  2. Official entry list starts here! Numbers are in order of receipt - a seeded entry list will be completed after entries close. 1. Peter Fern/David Wilson -  Acclaim - Beds & East Bucks Area
  3. Re who is driving and who is co-driving. I'll be at the start at the OST to make sure you all start on your due time - there will be a penalty if not :P I expect the driver to be driving then but it is only a maximum of 2 miles to the first test site. After that I expect the marshals will only have enough time to check the right person is in the right seat as the tests are started ;)
  4. I have just realised that not everyone will be familiar with Production Car Autotests and that there may be some elements which are of particular interest. So I have attached the relevant MSA document - it's available on their site to download if you can work your way round it but to make it easier here it is. Note - Minimum age driver - 14.  That is on the tests only of course, not on the road! Passenger - Mandatory – Must have Full RTA Licence and Autotest xperience if driver does not Minimum age passenger - 12 – if driver has full RTA licence and Autotest experience Production Car Autotests are designed to allow/introduce youngsters to motorsport.

  6. Great stuff guys. Provisional entries - that is, no actual entry forms with me yet ;D Peter Fern/? - ? Rob Southern/? - Spitfire Steve Thompson/Gary Seddon - Gt6 Tim Bancroft/? - GT6 Bryce Greenwood/Jonathan Blackburn - Toledo Mike Charlton/Jane Charlton - Spitfire. Reserves! Ian Heeley/Andy Heeley - Nova Thomas Gaythorpe/Paul Gaughan - VW Corrado I'll list official entries once I receive actual entry forms ;) After entries close in August I'll put up the seeded entry list ;)
  7. On the AutoEcosse this weekend at least 5 people said they would be entering the Raider's Triumph :) One amendment regarding car eligibility " Car eligibility – Any model of Triumph/Standard motor car or Triumph based special/kit car. Other cars will be considered but  Triumph/Standard cars or Triumphs based specials/kit cars have priority for entry." In addition I am sure we will have a social element the night before at the Old Stone Trough and should anyone wish to, we are happy to have people pitch a tent on our lawn - not sure about the neighbours tho ;D
  8. HI everyone, as per the May edition of Club Torque please find attached regs for the "Raider's Triumph" which is aimed at being an introduction to motorsport for those who want to have a go but will also be good fun for more experienced competitors. This is a CT Driver Challenge event too. Please bear with us as this is the first competitive event of this nature Pendle and Pennine have organised. Since the regs were put into Club Torque a number of small changes/amendments have had to be made. These changes are as follows. There will be the same number of tests as planned but at two locations, not 3. The event will also be open to Triumph based "specials" as well as Triumph motor cars. Pre event scrutinee and documentation will be from 8.30 to 9.30AM The suggested route between the two test locations is to use "A" roads as much as possible Looking forward to those entries and a great days fun motorsport :)
  9. Doug that sounds like my 2013 entry. It won't be the same TR7, it will be a soft top and it most probably won't be Matt as co-driver, more likely Kevin my co-driver from 2005. That is, unless another seizure means I can't drive in which case I'll be in the 2000 reading maps for two drivers ;D
  10. Only 16 months to go now(dance) Nostalgia for the original in 2003 was rife at the Pendle and Pennine meeting 8)
  11. Maybe clearing things up a bit (or not :-/). If you have everything from the Sprint you will be fine - apart from the exhaust manifold as already said. A new exhaust manifold will be much less restrictive than the Sprint one anyway so will help with power. If I remember correctly you'll also need to get a very rare TR7 16V heater pipe casting for the rear of the cylinder head - or make one. But you will need everything with the Dolly Sprint engine - the dizzy is different and the inlet manifold of course so as Theo said you will need the carb linkages too. As Mike and Theo have said, actually fitting the engine in the TR7 is absolutely fine with no clearance issues at all.
  12. Only answering in the negative I am afraid. I have fitted uprates four pot calipers and still used the original master cylinder even in competition and not found it a problem, sure the pedal goes quite a way down but the brakes still work much beter ;)
  13. Found myself looking at routes and maps this afternoon. Then these two websites - one from 2005 and then the original 2003 one http://users.telenet.be/themartins/10cr/ http://users.telenet.be/themartins/TR8/tencountriesrunOLD.html Indulging in nostalgia doesn't make me a bad person does it?   :B
  14. Quoted from Chriss What's better than the Stelvio by day, the Stelvio by night. My first time I thought I had the place to my self, then b
  15. The first and only time I have driven the Stelvio was on 2005 10CR as dusck was falling - absoltuely epic(dance) I long to to go back
  16. 3020 wrote:there was a rumour the format will be  going back to it's roots I.E the 03 run ...if that's the case i may well get my GT6 out of mothballs especially I hope you do Doug. BRP is too uncomfortable now I reckon, but I can use my convertible. Or maybe refit the original searts, take the door bars out and put some carpets back in BRP?
  17. thescrapman wrote:So has a dip in the Med. Martin is polishing his Speedos in readiness. Quote:I hear they only smuggle one small budgie at a time in Lancashire! Jim. It's the gut above them that bothers me ;D I like all the rumours, there might even be some truth in them ;)
  18. At least you can get a 10CR fix at tonight's Pendle and Pennine meeting ;)
  19. Great picture of the TR4 Nigel I do like Escorts and have owned a Mexico and an RS2000 (mk2) in the past but stage rallies do get boring from a spectator point of view when the whole field seems to be made up of them Well done for running something different
  20. Great to hear of your exploits Nigel. Re Martin Knapp - yes I know him and have had some spares off him in the past as well as being part of his service crew once. And the Jim Clark, yes that was in my sights before the stage rallying came to an end   Enjoy it Nigel
  21. I am back from my Alpine trip and although we did many other passes, we didn't make the Stelvio I suppose that just means I need to go back in 2011
  22. You'll find me in the vicinity of Lake Garda, the Italian Alps and then Switzerland 16th through to 19th - look out for a Valencia blue 2000 saloon
  23. WOO-HOO -go for it Nigel and keep us updated
