Thanks. I think I read somewhee on Rimmers that pre certain engine numbers it was scroll wheel? The clutch was fitted March last year and haven't driven huge amounts so should be good. I have an alignment tool so no problem re-doing that.

With my gearbox currently being rebuilt..I was thinking of taking the clutch out and wondered how easy it would be to take the flywheel off and replace the crankshaft rear oil seal? I see theres a scroll type and no scroll type crank?? Slightly confused? I do have a reddy orange coloured seal to fit..but wondering if this is correct??

My gearbox and OD is with Paul at http://www.firstmotion.co.uk. Do od spares also do gearboxes or just OD's? Might have been nearer to go here. But Paul at First motion knows his onions so hoping he'll have a look...just might be a little more expensive 🤔.

It pulls in fine and holding current is 0.95 amps. It's rock solid and won't move at that and is in the correct position

Hi, just had a question about these. Looking at the pivoting dowels on these, should they lean in slightly towards the main arm of the lever? Or should they be straight up towards each other? (example pics below..not my one) Thanks

I'll check the oil, but never had a problem with the level. Been driving it all summer and this is the first time it's done this. I'm removing at the moment anyway, so i'll see how much oil comes out??? Otherwise will re-check the wiring continuity. Thanks

Just to add to that..taken it out again and found that it will engage in 4th but as soon as i go over 40mph it goes in and out (judders) and then stays out. Obviously the higher speed is causing it to disengage?

Just been out for what will probabaly be the last spin of the year. Was fine on the drive out but on my way home, I found that I couldn't get overdrive in 4th. Goes in (slowly) with 3rd, if I then select 4th it comes out of overdrive? If i'm in 4th and then select overdrive, I get nothing? Relay is working ok/ clicking ok Could it be the solenois or something more sinister? I'm about to take the whole thing out anyway and get it refurbed (again). Any help appreciated.

Whilst on the drive, engine running, if I push hard down on the clutch I get a rumbling sound. It stops if I let up the pedal slightly? Doesn't do it every time but wondering what this might be? Only seems to happen with a hard push towards the end of travel? If the clutch is engaged I do have a different rumble sound which I guess is the release bearing. It's a NOS part as was the clutch when it went in.

Ok, so I bought Wynns Supercharge and added the treacle in to a warm engine. Certainly when it's hot the oil pressure is approx 10psi more than before. One very weird thing I noticed was that it seems to reduce the volume of the oil overall depending on temperature. Now I know this sounds odd..but am perplexed by what's now happening. Originally my oil was bang on the line...I added the Wynns and it went slightly over the line. next morning I checked the oil and it was the same amount but below the line?? Thought soemthing had happended and I'd lost oil... Went for a run, waiting 10 minutes after turning the engine off to check and was above the line. 30 minutes later..on the line..and hour later below the line?? Seems very odd..any ideas? Very repeatable results
