  1. Well after sending off an enquiry to Quiller about the poly donuts asking for a bit of info i had this response: "Sorry, no stock" mm very helpful
  2. Hi Quiller have poly rotoflex couplings on their website under the GT6 section. http://www.quillertriumph.co.uk/Quiller/Parts/new_products/polyurethanebushes.htm Has anyone any experience with these? Thanks
  3. Thats looks great. Is it a BMW colour by any chance?

  5. Hi Did you lubricate between the leaves when you put them back together with copper or graphite grease?
  6. I think my inexperience is showing here. I have uploaded a video to Youtube to demonstrate what Im thinking. http://youtu.be/JF72bGK8iTM
  7. Quote:I'm not sure I follow you......  However, if you mean that when you turn the input flange only one of the output flanges turns continuously, that is normal.  It just means that one of the side shaft bearings is a bit tighter than the other causing the differential to behave as a.... errr, differential. That is what i mean, I just assumed they would both turn synchronized together as it was when I stripped it. I just assumed both output flanges would have to  turn equally and evenly. Both sides have 2 shims.
  8. Hi all OK so the bearings and oil seals have been replaced. I put the diff back together and all seems fine until I put the rear housing on and the push in the 2 quarter shafts and do them up. Only one of them wants to turn as it should, the other looks like it is slipping. So, I disassemble and put it together without the rear housing and the output shafts look like they work as they should leaving me to believe its something to do with the shims possibly???? Anyone with any ideas I can try otherwise I might have to take it somewhere to be looked at.
  9. My 15 year old and I removed our MK3 tub on Saturday. Ours was fully stripped of doors any other components. We found its not so much the weight but its just a cumbersome lump to grab hold of.

  11. Hi all So tonight I started to strip the rear end of my 72 GT6. Took off this shock only to see the outer casing is from what I believe is an old  SAE 20w50 Motor Oil can. If you can see from the pictures its bee tack welded all around. Why bother? Just buy new shocks tight arse. Rant over
  12. I was just painting my GT6 block last night. In this weather its drying off nice. Gene
  13. Thanks Colin. Your tip worked like a charm!
  14. Im struggling to remove the pistons on mine. I don't have the luxury of compressed air. Any ideas?
