Alan Armstrong Posted August 9, 2022 Share Posted August 9, 2022 Bad penny etc.... so as I progress in obtaining missing parts for my Herald 13/60, I have now come across a problem...no doubt not to be the last! My steering column waggles around like a flag in the wind, with no upper or lower clamp. The upper clamp on Canleys part diagram show 3 things the 2 parts of the clamp, plus a spring clip. Can anyone advise the importance of the spring clip...what it does and what can I replace it with? All three parts are no longer available, Ebay has a suitable clamp but no spring..... hence the question. As always would appreciate any help. Clive Posted August 9, 2022 Share Posted August 9, 2022 The spring clip thingy keeps it tight. I presume you have the Y shaped bracket? They are the sorts of thing that many people will have in their boxes of odds and ends. I may have one, but no idea where it will be!
