C2C 23 Final Countdown

Hi all C2C 23 entrants and crew,  below is the text of an email I have just sent all entrants outlining what to expect during the next three weeks as we get prepared for the start of the 2023 Coast 2 Coast Run.

 

Coast 2 Coast 2023 Countdown 

Dear Entrant 

There are now only 25 days to the start of the 2023 Coast 2 Coast Run.  After a calm period since the event opening it is now going to get busy.  This communication is to let you know what to expect in the run up to the event.  Between now and the start you will be receiving emails or WhatsApps on the following items. 

Entry, Merchandise and Carbon Balancing Email - 5^th June 

Entry, T and Polo shirts purchases will be withdrawn from sale at the shop on 4^th June please make any further purchases before then, preferably as soon as possible. 

Plans for carbon balancing have not been fulfilled but Club Triumph is still in discussion with Tree-V. We are keen that as many entrants as possible carbon balance their CO₂ emissions.  In this email an outline will be given on how you will be able to do this. 

The Road Book, Route Files and Notes - Email - 6 th June 

Howard will email the Road Book, .gpx & google route detals plus instructions on how to load the route .gpx files to your satnavs and google routes onto your android phones. 

Briefing Email and Whatsapp – 21^st June 

The briefing is a reminder on how to conduct ourselves during the event. 

Final Instructions Email and Whatsapp – 23^rd June 

The Final Instructions will be a refresher of what you need to have done before leaving home, any changes to the information you have already had, any road or routing updates, the timetable for the event and detailed arrival information at the restaurants. 

Live Updates Whatsapp – 24^th & 25^th June 

If it is necessary to provide real time updates or alternative instructions on the 24^th or 25^th June these will be by Whatsapp.
