Donington Park track session: 02nd June 2014

Hi John, It was the first time I have used the GoPro, and both windows were down approx 1/2". Regardless, the sound quality should be better tham that, so further fine adjustment required. Will keep you posted. Done Donington many times, including the GP circuit. It is a great local circuit for me, and yes, flows lovely. The hairpin on the new circuit does spoil it somewhat in terms of the overall flow. Cheers. -

Hi Tim, I am not spending all the money again on a track car again. ! Time to buy a race car. ! Short of a cage, but car is all set for the track: Harnesses, firewall, Yoko A048 rubber. The car is the best of both worlds. May fit a cage, yes. Cheers. -

Maybe a 3:7 with a 22% O/D. ? Where will it ever end. ? :) Cheers. -
Hi All, Just thought I would share some footage from an evening session from Monday night. There was me in the TR6, my mate in his Volvo T5, and other mate in his 911 Caerrra 4. Apologies in advance for the quality, first time I have used the Go Pro in anger. ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-1_busXTlc Cheers.

Hi All, Great to see the CT members driving their cars in anger. ! As per Neil, shame about the rain in the AM, but thankfully it dried out in the PM, so we could pick up the pace. Great day out, and good to see a good turn out of cars. Look forward to the next one. Cheers.

Taken from the TR Register forum, and open to CT members: Date: 29/04/2014. We've managed to do a deal with the circuit and are able to offer this event to you for a meagre £60 / car plus £10 per additional driver / passenger. If you can find another day at Castle Combe for less than twice this amount I'd be very surprised. Book now on the TR Register shop. It'll be first come, first served as we hope this one will sell out.

I fitted a new heritage bonnet on mine. 500gbp. Fit is not bad. If you dip a bonnet, you break down all the sealants that the bonnet had when new, and you will never be able to earch all areas with paint. I would perhaps buy a secondf hand steel bonnet for ease, as it must have last 40 years so far. ? Cheers.

I purchased a fibreglass TR6 bonnet, in fact, all wings and bonnet. Ended up selling wings in favour of new repro items, which are a better fit than the TR4/5 repro items, and cheaper. ! The bonnet came from a guy who has a supplier in Birmingham, think Honeybourne. Had it painted, but never fitted it. I recall it needed some fettling around the bulkhead area to make it fit. Mine had the inner skin. If you are using bonnet pins, inner skin not required, so you go go even lighter. ! Great on a race car, not so sure on a road car with the poor road surfaces we are faced with. Cheers.

Myself and Mr Carruthers have booked into this event. (Silverstone). Looks like X2 Triumphs so far. 6 places left. Cheers.

if you are running EFI, you should be able to run a race cam with an issue, providing all other parts, (head, exhaust and manifold) are geared up for it. Cheers.
