Hi there, Looking great, and look forward to seeing it on events this year. Bet you can't wait to drive it in anger. ! Cheers.
2. Hi Chris, Thanks for heads up, and have been keeping a close eye on their web site. Plan to get to Silverstone. Be good to see more than two Triumphs there like last time. Cheers.
3. THE TRGB TRACK DAY! On Friday 14th March 2014 TRGB are organising a track day at BLYTON PARK near Gainsborough Lincs. This is a fantastic chance to get the most out of your car combined with a social day out. Most of the track has massive run off areas and is probably the safest track I have even been on. It is a great way to improve your driving skills and appraise your car in a safe environment. If you have never done a track day before, don’t worry, we will be on hand to answer any questions, and it is just as much a social event as it is about driving. The day will mainly be Triumphs but there will be other cars present. It is not a race, you go round the track at your own speed, if you catch someone up, they allow you past, and if someone catches you up you let them past, so you can overtake in a safe manner - but you are NOT allowed to race. Full pre track briefing will be given. Although desirable you do not HAVE to have a roll bar, but you ARE required to wear seat belts and a crash helmet, and so is your passenger, There are normally a few spare ones but do please try to bring one. Your car should be in a safe mechanical condition, no dripping oil or water leaks - certainly to mot standard or beyond. No wrecks please! Hand held video cameras are not permitted, if you want to video it must be car mounted. If you would like further advice on sensible prep work please contact TRGB. Full catering facilities are available. The track is fully marshalled. The price for a FULL DAY is £120 per car (including vat) with an additional £30 per extra driver (including vat) So if you have 2 people per car it works out at £75.00 each There is plenty of time, you will not want to drive all day (and neither will your car!) A NON REFUNDABLE £60 deposit per car is payable and a £15 deposit per additional driver. Payment must be made to TRGB LTD. You can call and pay by credit or debit card. 01487 842168 Places are limited, please try to book AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. For more about Blyton Park go to http://www.blytonpark.co.uk/
4. Hi Chris, Many thanks for that. Hope we get a few Triumphs involved next year. I have just ordered X2 Yokohama A048 - 205/60/15 tyres for the new season. FYI: TRGB are holding a track day at Blyton Park. Will post full details now. Cheers.
5. Hi Tim, I have CV type on my TR6, with uprated hubs (think Saab Turbo). They came from Ricahrd Goode Parts in the USA:- http://www.goodparts.com/shop/index.php?categoryID=20 Very well engineered, on par with the Cosworth shafts and Quaife hubs Dennis Vessey designed. The cosworth shafts use UJs, but you will not break them, even Joe Henderson could not break them with 252BHP, when he owned it in his blisteringly quick TR6. Mine have been fitted at least 3 years, and put through their paces on track and mountain passes, without complaint. I would say, fit and forget. Even with 193bhp and 200lbs ft, I have not broken them. Cheers

7. Hi Chris, Good AM. Regret, but not able to get to anymore this year now, and Golf does not have any road tax on it. Would love to do more track days, but work and money permitting. I have done two within the space of a week, and car now ready for some tyres, and at £500 for a set, plus entry fee, fuel, food and accommodation, it is not viable. If I could, I would be there. Please do get some pictures and any video footage. All the best Tom.
8. Thanks to Mr Carruthers, here is a short clip of my car on the pit straight:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E276v5puePs&feature=youtu.be Cheers.
9. Penrite 20/60. Excellent oil, and maintains good oil pressure.

11. Had a great day, with fine weather last Monday. Car was a delight. Some quick V8 machinery, including an MGZS V6 ex touring car. Had a great laugh following it about, he could not lose me. Stats: MGZS 1050Kgs 200BHP. TR6: 1060Kgs (weighed as Donington whilst I was there) 193BHP on recent rolling road. Like the owner said, it was a close call. However, he was not running slicks, as they were not permitted. Here is some footage, only a short clip of me, if you fast foward circa 11mins into the video:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrRxtxnAUyI&feature=youtu.be After Silverstone GP circuit week before, now this, car is ready for a set of tyres. ! Cheers.
12. A big thank you to the organising team for what again was another exciting and challenging 10CR. Fantastic. As per Mr Hunt, it was great to have the American team participating, and they all made it around in their chosen weapons, great result. ! Look forward to the next one, and I shall be competing a full report in the next CT magazine. Cheers Tom.
13. The only issue I had with my Mallard Green TR6 was a broken N/S trailing arm. We spent 30 mins removing the shock absorber, and continued the event, some 700 miles with one shocker all the way home. Not a common issue, and no other issues with the car that was driven hard during the event. Cheers.
14. Hi Richard, I have a set on my TR6 from Richard Goode parts in the USA if you are struggling:- http://www.goodparts.com/shop/index.php?categoryID=20 Cheers
15. Hi All, Just received the below via e-mail:- Well, Blyton Park was another hugely successful day, with a great turnout and the usual contingent of most excellent company. As you all know, we were planning to hold a track day at Turweston this month, but at the last minute they have pulled the plug on us and withdrawn the facility  However, at Classic Car Driving we will not be beaten and now have an even better venue! Our next day will be held at the Mintex proving ground and full details will be going up onto our website later tonight. It’s a great circuit and we will be providing the usual Open Pits policy for all our drivers, so you can come and go as you choose. OK, so all good news so far, now for even better news… The cost of the day will be just £89 per car, with £20 extra for each additional driver – simply astonishing value for money! Could it get any better? Yes it could… We will also be putting onto the track a couple of Caterhams and an Atom that you can hire out and take out onto the track under the guidance of a professional ARDS qualified instructor. As ever, photographs will be going up onto our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/classiccardriving (there are loads up there from the last day) and the Practical Classics team will be on circuit as well, so you get to meet all the famous names – we might even persuade Danny Hopkins to get his Jaguar out on track again. It’s going to be a popular day, so best to book quickly before all the places are gone. Just email us for your booking form and we will see you on track.
16. Hi Richard, I do not recognise the stamped detail. As a rule, Racetorations typically mark a lot of their tuning items with a RCT pre-fix. You could perhaps call on RCT to see if they can provide more detail. Cheers.
