Us Nottingham lot had a great trip up to Mablethorpe. All Triumph owners, but some came in other exotic machinery.

Hi Tim, Thanks. It needed going through in detail, but pretty much there now. CVB6H is a better balanced car, & CVB drives better, purely because it has been VERY carefully rebuilt with the best quality of parts/bearings, and screwed together by a proper old school engineer. YB power is fun, but not quite got the confidence in it yet, but that will come. Further work required, but as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day.

What Have You Still To Do To Your Car
TRTOM2498 replied to McJim's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
My TR6 (CVB6H): Install the hardtop, & that is it. I was planning on a top-end engine rebuild, but my engineer is that busy, that I have been trying to get in for the last 2 years ! If not, a job for winter. Also want a pair of Ford Escort Cosworth vented discs (NOS), if I am lucky. Cheers. -
What have you done recently or are planning to do soon to your Triumph?
TRTOM2498 replied to Tim Bancroft's topic in General
@ Beans, that looks a great shell to start with. Good luck with the project. -
Enjoying putting some miles on the car since it has been recommissioned. More work to do, but absolutely driveable as it is.

If you are planning rebuilding your 2l, have you thought about buying a 2.5l, and uprating that ? Matt George has a TR6 with a 2.5l with a Piper Yellow cam (unsure of cam timing/lift or duration), but been it works well on twin SU's. Cheers.

As above, Distributor Doctor is your man here. Cheers.

Agree with Nick here, will make your steering very positive, and not harsh. I have ran like this for at least 5 years and many thousands of miles without an issue. Cheers.

Hi Howard, Many thanks. That is great. Tom (CVB6H). Cheers.

MY TR6 drove beautifully throughout the trip. Did not miss a beat. Managed over 30MPG en route home from Rolduc in economy mode, which was very refreshing. Cheers.

10CR 2017: Which car and what preparations?
TRTOM2498 replied to Beans's topic in Ten Countries Run (10CR)
TR6 status update: EFI kit now installed, with Jenvey throttle bodies, including adjustable length trumpets. Brake fluid changed (AP 600), and Safety Devices roll over bar fitted. Now to put it through its paces, for testing over the coming months. Cheers Tom -

TRTOM2498 replied to Kevin Bryant's topic in Comps & Motorsport
Hi Chris, Car was rebuilt and finished in Mallard Blue, instead of the original Royal Blue in 2013. You saw me on the RBRR 2016. Cheers Tom -
Brands Hatch Track Day Monday 5 December 2016
TRTOM2498 replied to Kevin Bryant's topic in Comps & Motorsport
Hi Chris, I am in the USA for work from the 28th November until 16th December, so sadly cannot make it. Not done a track day all year, but have done a few sprints, so want to get back out there again. Next year now. Will keep an eye on MGOT activity. Hope to see you on track next year ? Cheers Tom. -
Glad you had a great time, Clive. Their next one is at Blyton Park, in July. (TRR). Keep an eye out for the dates, listed by the MGOT web site. Cheers.
-
Hi Peeter, Thanks for that. Will be at some of those events next year, certainly Donington. Cheers.

Entry in post this evening. Not sure whether to do it in the 6, or Saloon PI. The 6 is damn good fun though.

Hi Jonny, Will see what I can do on this, and advise all with my findings. Cheers Tom.
