  1. Hi Chris, I wanted to get to this, and made their last track day session in April last year - a great day out, with all different kind of cars.  Interestingly there were more Triumphs than any other make, yet those entrants do not appear on many of the other TD events you seem to organize. ? Anyone going to this will have a good time, and it is a great track for run off, should you need it. Perhaps one of the safest tracks in the UK. I cannot make this one due work commitments. Cheers.
  2. Hi Chris, Would like to try this, but unable to get the time off work. Hope we get some support. ? Cheers.
  3. Agree with Andy T here. I have Newman steel followers in my TR6, with Newman cam.  Several tracks days, a 10CR, and generally driven hard and no complaints at all. Cheers.
  4. Excellent pictures. Looks like you enjoyed yourself. ! Wish I could have made it, but car not quite complete. Should be back on the road in 3 weeks. Cheers.
  5. Hi Jason, My first TR6 developed what is known as a 'ratchet clutch', and symptoms were much worse once the engine was warm.   It transpired, that the nose piece that the release bearing slides up and down on, was marginally out of alignment, so as you depress  and release the clutch pedal, it would not slide up and down smoothly.  Once everything expanded and warmed up, the symptoms were much worse. It was a pig in traffic, realy difficult to drive. My all means change the hydraulics, but as per above and my experience, it could be the nose piece, and if changing that, it is a given you should also change the cross shaft and supporting bushes. Think Revington TR do a uprated item, and as the list always gets bigger, may as well inspect the clutch, and change as necessary.   FYI: Some years ago there were a faulty batch of Borg & Beck clutches on the market. The friction plate only contained 3 rivets holding the lining to the centre.  My clutch lasted a week, before I broke it. Be mindful of that, but do understand that has been since addressed. If you can find an NOS Laycock, go for that. I have tried and tested many clutches over the years in different applications, so know what works and what doesn't. AP Racing are also good, but depends on application and budget. ! Cheers.
  6. This is shaping up quite well. Clive Gimson in his race GT6 and Michael Hunter in his rally TR4 will be there. Cheers.
  7. As per Mike, sounds like teh Nylon bushes in the steering column. Some movement is acceptable, but no movement is better. ! Cheers.
  8. The company that Mr Harvey mentions did my TR6 block. Several track days later, with regular bursts to 6500RPM + and all is well. I can thoroughly recommend them. Cheers.

  10. Myself and another TR6 have entered this. Should be a good day out.

  12. Hi Chris, Forward th below around 3mins 30 secs, and watch this TR5 go at Croft and through the 'S'. This is one of the fastest 6 pot race TR's in Europe. Let me see what I can do. Cheers.
  13. Hi Chris, Thanks for this. I really want to do Croft, looks a great circuit, but may struggle to get the time off work. will keep you posted. Thanks again Tom.
  14. Hi Chris, I am interested, yes. UK Venues: Cadwell / Donington / Silverstone / Snetterton / Oulton Park. Cheers.
  15. I wonder if it is possible to team up with other Triumph Clubs: TRR and TR Drivers club as a consolidation to bring the numbers up. ? I have booked 27th March off work for Donington, full GP circuit, but this will have modern cars that have entered. Thanks, Chris. I will do a Track day with Practical Classics again, but would like a different track to Blyton. Cadwell perhaps. We shall see. Cheers.
  16. I have a set of Quaife hubs and Cosworth shafts for sale for TR4A / 5 / 6. Cheers.
