  1. Ken took some great pics - especially given the, err, "limited" access available! I really like the other shot he's put up of my car with the red TR4 behind too. Nick
  2. Hope to see it driving on a driving event too!! 🙃
  3. Cool pic 🙂. That TR4 was the only one who would play with me. He asked if I had a 2.5.... 🙂
  4. Another vote for the Falkens. Mine have just survived their 4th track day (and have done 2x10CR as did various running about) and were still outstanding in the wet (very wet!). Now they are well scrubbed in, they are pretty good in the dry too. Even still have some life left....
  5. Oh, interesting...... dunno whether John knows it's on the move again...... Having driven the car a short distance I can confirm it goes very well and is well sorted. Nick
  6. Hi Craig, Thanks for explanation - so long as I'm not going crazy - can always upload again when I get a moment or two. Nick
  7. I've created one and saved it..... Edit: and now I've set the toggle correctly - it works. Thanks Craig!
  8. Yep, huge improvement. Thanks to all those involved! If (!) I moan it's intended constructively! Nick
  9. Before the site went live I created a signature. 4 lines and a small image. It worked. It no longer works. In trying to fix it I've discovered that "images not (now) allowed" and that my signature has too many lines. After I deleted the image it was just 4 lines..... and in fact some experimentation shows that the only signature that I can save without a warning message is one that is completely empty! So I assume something is broken. Also, while I'm all in favour of keeping things compact, both on the page and in data terms, I don't see the problem with a small image? It is 2021.... Looking pretty damn good in general though 😊 excellent work! (maybe some nicer smilies?) Nick
  10. Were all the images uploaded to the gallery prior to going live dumped when the site went live? I had uploaded some and they've gone....
  11. That's some way above "concours original" money IMO. And it's neither. The real killer for me is the panel fit, which is just appalling and doesn't bode well for attention to detail elsewhere. The absence of overdrive is a further disappointment at that price as is the strange fit of the sunroof (looks too big) and the sex-toy gear knob...... Nick
  12. ok, seems saving it is not enough - to get it to display you also have to set this toggle which is defaulted to off..... and then it shows, including on previous posts.
  13. just checking whether it works..... does not apply retrospectively to existing posts
  14. Different one..... Seems to be impossible to create a signature? I know how to do it on Sideways, which is basically the same software, the facility simply isn't available here? Intentional? Or not? Nick
  15. The longer answer is that of course it can be done (was done with the last CT forum platform change and with Sideways forum when we changed platforms to Invision some years ago), but it I acknowledge it is a big job. I'm disappointed that this effort apparently isn't going to be made and would urge that this is reconsidered. If not, I hope that the previous forum will remain web accessible and searchable as an archive in some form, so that it's content can still be found via search engine. If not, a huge amount technical information and club history will be lost and this approach will make me think very seriously about whether to bother with detailed build threads on here in the future. Nick
  16. Need to try out my new injector cleaning machine. Also need to give the Vitesse suspension and brakes a good going over before Castle Coombe. Then there is the R160 Subaru diff fitting kit I've just taken delivery of..... question is, which car gets it.....? Nick
  17. Starts off as a restoration. Then there is some mission creep. Quite a bit...... Dodge Viper V10.... obviously the ideal motorcycle engine..... Or casually weld a couple of straight sixes together to make a V12, or weld a couple of extra pots onto 4...... Allen Millyard - nutter, genius or both..... I love his videos, and I don't even like motorbikes much. .... and if you get hold of a couple of Pratt & Whitney aero-engine cylinders and pistons..... what to do with them? If you are Allen you build a motorbike with them....
