  1. Are there any plans to have more RBRR T-Shirts made in the sizes that ran out today? Surprised that we couldn't order T-shirts at the entry stage like we can on other events. After being able to get a T-shirt for the last six RBRR's I've taken part in, it'll be very disappointing not to be able to get one for this RBRR.
  2. Would you like it moved closer to North Wales as well?
  3. Many thanks to the organising team for a fantastic event. We thoroughly enjoyed some great driving roads and some beautiful scenery I've not had a great season regarding reliability and this event was no exception. My problems began early Sunday morning and the car finally expired about 10 minutes after leaving the breakfast stop and 278 miles from my home! (But at least we completed the event!) The AA were top notch to be fair. The first guy arrived after an hour and took us to Magor services near the Severn Bridge, and the second guy arrived 20 minutes after the first one departed and took us all the way home. (We arrived home 9pm last night.) After initially thinking it was a fuel pump problem, it turned out the PRV had failed causing fuel pressure loss. (The car has been converted to Pi) No matter, I still had a great time with some great mates, so what the heck! πŸ™‚ Until the next one!.............
  4. Yes, I shall be there tonight 😊
  5. Have any results been put up for this yet? I'd like to know how folk got on. 😊 Unfortunately I had to drop out of the event on the day with engine problems. Will have to find a co-driver for the C2C to make up for the disappointment of missing this. ☹️
  6. Err....... I haven't seen my Triumph since it went into storage last September. (Shortly after the 10CR actually) 😬 It should be coming home in a few weeks though. 😊
  7. Below is a link to apply for the Clubman's licence required to compete in the 2023 HCR. You wont need any passport photos, or medicals or anything like that and it's completely FREE. RS Clubman | Motorsport UK This fabulous event has been brought back due to popular demand, but at present has a low entry number. Get those entries in and make this a popular event again. πŸ™‚
  8. Below is a link to apply for the Clubman's licence required to compete in the 2023 HCR. It takes about 5 minutes to complete. 9. Just treat it as a C2C or similar. You don't have to be competitive. We'd had enough on one of them and were just dog tired, so we cut the route and just had a leisurely drive to the finish. Nobody will berate you for it and it will still be a weekend out and about. 😊
  10. I think the clubmans licence my be stalling a few people Mike. Maybe put a link on here of where to get one? Also explain to people that it's free and they wont need passports pics, medical etc.....
  11. Blimey! Those Team Spotlight boys got in quick! πŸ˜…
  12. The third car in Team Spotlight is Dave Harvey's Fabulous Maple Brown MK2 Pi. A very well engineered car and very well maintained and looked after by its owner. I've been lucky enough to have driven this car a few times now and it's one of the best Triumphs I've driven. (Pic taken on the 2012 RBRR next to Gertie1)
  13. Such a great photo that Richard. The one he took of my car wasn't bad either πŸ™‚
  14. No it's not normal and will affect the handling. There are plenty of Spitfire experts on here that will be able to advise, unfortunately, I'm not one of them. Big saloons are the only Triumph I've had anything to do with.
  15. You need some weight in the boot of that to lose that positive camber. πŸ™‚
  16. You mean you wont be using any of those other cars you bought for the RBRR but never got ready on time? πŸ˜‰
  17. I'll be using Gertie2, my 1967 Mk1 Saloon. (Pic taken at the top of Stelvio 2022) First used on the 2018 C2C and used for the 2021 RBRR and the 2022 10CR. Currently running a 2.6 TR6 engine on carbs, but will be running Lucas Pi by the end of March.
  18. As quoted last night by Jason who is one of the organising team....... 'Just go back in and add another team member. Basically you buy a team member at a time - you should load each one into your online shopping cart then check out. But you can do it retrospectively - just don't sit there with half an entry because that's not valid.'
  19. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe your entry will not be valid without at least one co-driver. (I'm sure I read that on here last night) Just put anyone down for now. You'll be able to change it later.
  20. You need to get on the case with that. It's March in a couple of weeks. πŸ™‚
  21. Team Spotlight rides again! 3 cars again. Numbers 44, 61 & 94. We should all be Pi powered as well this time. ☺️
  22. Also stop calling the event the 10CR, because then you are limited to the same 10 countries all the time. (Although this event was a 9CR because the event started in France, finished in the Netherlands and never went to England in between. πŸ™‚) I'd rather do fewer countries, but different ones.
  23. Agreed. No going back to work more knackered than when you left there!
  24. I never work out the final cost of these events. I take part to have a great time, drive some great roads and have a good laugh, so I'm not bothered what the final fee is. I don't work out my costs or MPG on the RBRR either. it's all irrelevant to me. The fun in doing the event far outweighs any costs. πŸ™‚
