    You forgot to add AGAIN! We did this a week before the RBRR in 2014 as well. =)

    Undo the bolts for the gear selector plate on the top of the gearbox. It sometimes compresses on the overdrive and stops it from releasing.

    Many thanks to Chris and the team for a great event. Also thanks to Co-Driver Dave Maton for his good company and providing us with a laugh by bringing chocolate on the hottest day of the year so far! (Drink of Snickers anyone?) Thanks to running mates of Richard Warr and Enzo who also provided many laughs. Both Mk1's did well and we cant wait to do it again next year

    Well the Pi is now painted. Annoyingly I ran out of plastic clips, so couldn't finish the last bit of trim near the rear quarter light. Not much left to do at present, but I'm sure things will go wrong a lot nearer the time! :)

    Richard is converting to manual. I have a 'works rally type gearknob' with overdrive switch which I think he liked. (Although the one on Gertie is better quality I have to say) Thanks for the compliment Richard, yes, the Pi is quite a car. 🙂

    That's ok, it's the second time I've been demoted down the places on this event, I'm getting used to it now!

    I don't think there's any need to panic. I'm sure that Tim and the team will make sure that everyone gets in anyway. Everybody did last time. That's the beauty of using Knebworth as a start location, it can cater for a lot more entries.

    Very possibly. 🙂  Actually, I'm registered now. (and so is the Mk1 Pi)  I wasn't putting a capital letter where I should have been    It's case sensitive you know. 😉

    The club will still honour the points if entered. However, it's under debate at present by the comps committee as to whether the 2017 championship will be extended to the end of January to include this event or include this event in the 2018 points championship.

    Now that Gertie is moving into semi-retirement, the Mk1 Pi will be the weapon of choice for 2018. Last weekend it had new big ends, new mains, new PRV and new oil pump. She goes into the body shop at the end of November for some serious tidying up. 🙂

    I've never touched the front valance on Gertie, so the filler was already there from when you and the other bodger owned it. 🙂

    Notification of a car change. Gertie will now replace the Pi on this event. (The Pi will now be going in for bodywork & respray) You have an email Mr Banks 🙂

    Are you serious? The entry fee for this years Le Jog is £3,722.00.  How many cars do you think would enter at that price?
