    Confused... about an hour ago i sent an sms to the number in the book and also sent an email, Tim responded to the email but neither message has appeared on the message diary... anyone else experiencing similar?

    looking to get a new set of carpets. Need some help deciding best set to get Moulded or Tufted? I fiited mx5 seats a couple of years back which resulted in a little massaging of the tunnel on drivers side to get it to sit properly. this is maling me think twice about a moulded set. the reshaping was less than an inch so doubt it'll have much impact depending on the "give" in the moulding. What do people suggest?

    Cheers Nick, Bell housing is not alloy unfortunately. I can't see benefit of dowel either and agree about it's pressure. Loctite seems to be sensible half way house. Worrying about it on Thursday night as have kids to put down (not permenantly) singlehandly until then.

    Right now i'm a little bit behind schedule... Gearbox currently 10 metres from car and having a nightmare rebuilding it. (recon box having different input shaft, ordering parts, don't seem to fit.) Driveshaft UJ's, new soft top, heater needs attention (it was cold last time round). Tuning oh and Tunes! I'm thinking a few last minute days off work will be in order.

    Argghhh. so new parts arrived on friday, just got around to fitting the new seal and carrrier. but the dowel holes on bellhousing and new new seal don't align by the smallest of margins. So.. do we think a duff part or is the dowel not critical? i'm guessing the former. any suggestions?

    No matter, no time to switch input shaft so have ordered the lip seal from canleys and will swap it at the weekend. Thanks for the help

    Does anyone know if there is one more than one type of input shaft used on spit 1500 gearboxes with overdrive? I've acquired a recon gbox and when i went to put the bell housing on i realised that the recon box has a aout an inch of wider shaft which catches on the bell housing and causes the shaft to lock up. I am planning on calling the supplier in the morning but wanted to know if anybody had any experience of this? Time is getting tight for the RBRR when i consider i also have the driveshaft UJ's and a new hood to fit. I could really have done without this delay as i was hoping to have fitted the new box tonight.
