    Man from the bodyshop came and looked at the TR yesterday, its going in on monday  :) 8) I've still got couple of jobs to do to it this week then once it's back from the body shop need to sort the poor running.

    slight technical problem with the welding work that I knew about. The smallish hole in the floor has now become a large hole. OOPS

    engine still running very poorly when warm/hot. :( But other jobs have been more succesful. Headlights now go up and down as they are supposed to.  :) Drivers seat is out and base stripped ready for frame repair and replacement foam. Friendly MOT man has been and had a look to see if there is any welding work to do, thers's not other than what I already knew about.  :) So things are progressing at last  :) 8) :) 8)

    the weekend didn't go to plan. Got some jobs done on the car but its not running very well at all once it warms up. Starts missing, spluttering and back fireing. But cold it runs perfectly.  :( :'( I was thinking possible fueling problem. I've fitted new fuel pump and good 2nd hand carb to manifold mounts. Anyone any ideas? going to change points and condenser next as I have some, but not expecting them to make it any better  :-/ :(

    The next Hexham 12 car is being held on wed 22nd August. The event is 58 miles all on map 87, first car starts at 20.01 I can email entry form and regs if required or you can contact Ed Graham direct on edgraham@btinternet.com These are great fun events, no mega hard navigation, always plenty of people to help, good mix of cars and of course food at the finish which is included in the entry fee.

    ordered some parts yesterday, they should hopefully all be here by the weekend so work proper can begin.  :) 8)

    I'm going to be buying a new battery for my TR7. The battery is located in the normal position in the engine bay. Is there a battery available that is bigger in both size and power but still fits in the original location? cheers

    Work on the rally car was complete and the plan had been to unearth the TR7 from its garage and get to work on it. But the rally car is back in bits after destroying the crown wheel and pinion and gearbox casing on an event. I will get started on teh TR sometime soon..........

    Ed Graham from Hexham motor club has mentioned he is looking at running some sunday afternoon 12 cars in the summer. I'll put more info on here when I get it.

    Nova rally car is coming along nicely now, I'm off work next week so you never know TR work might start........... ;)

    I've still not made any progress with the TR but have started on the Nova so once that is done the TR will get my attention....... .......well thats the plan

    Hexham Motor club run a very good 12 car series, normally one a month from September to May. Using roads in South Northumberland(Hadrians Wall and the North Tyne) and North Durham. They take place on either a Wednesday or Saturday night, normally between 50 and 60 miles followed by a light supper, the cost of which is covered by the entry fee. The entry fee is

    Jobs required on my TR7 Front wings to repair Carb mounts to replace Diff pinion oil seal to change Drivers seat frame to repair/replace N/S headlamp motor to fit Electronic igntion to fit General service New/fresh spare tyre New battery Add additional power sockets for phone chargers etc Get MOT'd Wash and polish No doubt along the way of sorting that lot I'll come up with some more
