  1. All parts collected, now the crank is going to get balanced. I'll get some more pics up at the weekend
  2. Head, manifold, crank and flywheel are all ready. Going to collect them on Tuesday so the rebuild will begin.
  3. Cylinder head and inlet manifold dropped off at engine man. Also taken the crank and flywheel, the flywheel is getting lightened. The crank is being knife-edged and also a modification to the front pulley,  its drilled and doweled as the key have been known to fail. So hopefully I'll get it sorted in time for the rally.
  4. I've made a little bit more progress, I've sorted out getting the cylinder head ported along with the inlet manifold ported and matched to the head. Hope to get those dropped off this next week as i'm on a weeks holiday. So not a lot of progress but all the little bits add up
  5. Not sure that is the actual location of the check point as that picture appears to be the layby on teh south bound side rather than the North.  8)
  6. I've made no more progress with the engine at the moment as I've been busy with the Moss. But I will have to get on with it as could really do with it built, fitted, run in and set up on rolling road all by the 7th July  :-/
  7. Normally one in May then usually break for the summer returning in September,  I'll ask on wednesday and let you know. For this one i'mvack out in the Calibra as the TR7 is not well the miss fire we had on the RBRR has returned. I hope  to have the Moss ready for the May one.

  9. if you can hear the pump, have you got a fuel supply problem? Have you taken the pump off and tried it across a battery with 2 lengths of pipe fitted, see if it pumps then.
  10. the rods did come form ebay I think can't 100% remember, I've had them in the cupboard a good while now. No new progress with it yet

  12. I built the car in 2006/07 and have competed in it quite succesfully. This engine is the next upgrade for more power, still undecided if I'll leave it on the current twin dellorto 45s or go to throttle bodies.
  13. Its full rally spec, seam welded weld in roll cage,  motordrive seats, quaife straight cut close ratio gearbox.
  14. Also got steel rods to go with the pistons, I'll get some pics of those very soon.
  15. The very nice shiny high compression pistons
