COPY OF REG POSTING the tools will be kept safe believe you me and yes they are huge !!! and will allow me to have other batches done whenever i need to in the future, BUT that does not help us now, if i dont get the required amount of orders now to justify the cost outlay, i will not have the tooling made and there will be no orders of any kind. what else can i say ?? LONG AND SHORT OF IT IS, DONT WAIT UNTIL LATER, AS LATER MAY NEVER ARRIVE !!

hi guys, due to questions that im having, i just thought it best to make a posting to answer / clarify things. in earlier postings i said i would take a deposit on the panels i get produced, this is no longer the case as it just adds to my already massive workload, plus ive learnt alot from doing the sills. please remember that i am doing all these panels inbetween normal day to day life and the work involved in getting them done is HUGE, ie i will be doing another 650 miles round trip next week regarding panel works. i sorted out the sills for everyone as you all needed them and because there was a min order and asked for £2.50 to help towards covering my costs, most people forgot to add the £2.50 to thier payment nor did they add the postage ( non applicable to those that are collecting ) so i now have to chase numerous people for thier postage upon arrival of the sills, more work for me again and with all the £2.50"s missing, i will be out of pocket, but i dont mind this as its keeping the cars alive and thats what its all about !!!! another question was, safe shipment of the wings, ive had to have bespoke boxes made at a cost of around £8 each and 50off, plus ive also had to have meetings with numerous couriers and open an account with one of them to enable me to get you all a good price on postage there is so much work involved in all of this i could ramble on for days, but i wont. ive done what i said i would do for you all and got these panels sorted, its now up to you to do the rest, if i dont get a certain quanity of orders, this will not happen, and im sure if it doesnt happen now, IT NEVER WILL ! this posting sounds like a rant, but its not, its simply aimed at putting things accross the way they are and if you have any questions as ive said all along, please feel free to ask. ive had so many nice comments and thank you"s from you all along the way, so again i thank you all for those, but i think most of the thanks should go to richard brake, dave harvey and lee godfrey for lending us thier panels enabling this to all to happen, thanks guys !!!!!!! please dont forget, the closing date for wing orders is 3rd april. lloyd

the orders are trickling in, but not fast enough to make this viable. i moved heaven and earth with this manufacturer to jump the queue, so i could get these wings back as close to the time that the sills will be arriving from the other manufacturer, thus allowing those of you that have brought sills to fit both at the same time if you wish ( ie front wing rear lower section needs to be removed anyway to fit sill noses ) etc etc. come on guys, ive done my bit.

the mk2 half front wings are ready to go into production :). sorry but the £310 price i gave has had to be increased to £325 due to steel cost increase and the press time cost being increased also. ( this is members price only ) the half wing is more of a 3/4 wing really as it will go from front to back of the wing in a straight line 5" above the top of the wheel arch and will include all flanges, returns and holes. i will be having the lower fixing bracket and A post closure panels done as soon as possible also, that will be available separately. please ask for the order form via here or lloyd.reed01@virgin.net i do have you all on the list, but to simplify my life, could i ask that you contact me, although i will work through the list and send off order forms as and when i get time. I HAVE TO PUT A TIMESCALE ON EVERYTHING TO STOP IT DRAGGING ON, AND AGAIN THIS MANUFACTURERS LEAD TIME ON THESE, IS NEARLY AS LONG AS THE MANUFACTURERS THAT ARE DOING THE SILLS !!!! I WILL BE PLACING THE ORDER FOR THE WINGS IN TWO WEEKS TIME ( 31ST MARCH ), SO WILL NEED YOUR ORDERS IN BEFORE THEN PLEASE AS I HAVE TO WAIT FOR CHEQUES TO CLEAR. UPWARDS AND ONWARDS :) mk1 and all estates rear half wings comming next !!!! lloyd

the sill order was placed this morning and will be with me in approx 3 months. i will post the exact delivery date as soon as i recieve it.

colin wake ( thescrapman ) is collecting his sills from my cardiff lock up when they arrive and has very kindly offered to collect and take back with him other peoples sills that live in these areas: essex norwich ipswich bury st edmunds colchester we should all thank him for this. please send him a pm nearer the time of sill delivery arrival in approx 6-8 weeks, i shall give you all more of a confirmed date early part of next week after placing the order. many thanks colin lloyd

first of all, sorry to you guys and gals on the ct stand on sunday , as i didnt get over to you to say hi, the day just got away from me. second, for all of those of you that were ment to meet me on the reg stand and give me your orders and chq"s and didnt for whatever reason, i need them by thursday of this week at the latest,

it was mentioned regarding sill delivery, that we could arrange pick up points around the country, avoiding some or all of you having to have to pay postage. if this is to happen, i need some members to put thier hands in the air and step forward to offer thier help :) collection from cardiff is more than welcome if you wanna come and have a nose and a yack willing members please get in touch, and also let me know where in the country you are situated. i will need to sort this before stoneleigh, as if it doesnt happen, i will simply need to charge postage when taking peoples orders. ive investigated postal rates, here they are: 1 - 4 sills £18.75 5 - 8 sills £25.75 9 - 12 sills £40.00 many thanks lloyd

right then, ive had a quite a few questions from you all regarding the state of play with the other panels. all is going well, although the sill issue took my foot off the gas for a while there mk2 front wings comming first closely followed by the mk2 rear half wings and the mk1 / all estates rear half wings. it would be good to get the inner outer bowls done at the same time, but its all down to time, money and practicality but i will see what i can do. sorry its all taking so long, but its out of my hands. ive set a target date of two and a half months to have the mk2 half front wings in production, watch this space !!!!! lloyd

hi everyone, i keep being asked for the mk2 front half wing order forms. the bank account that was allocated for the wing monies, currently has the sill monies in it. once the sill orders has been placed a week or so after stoneleigh, and the account drained, i will send out the wing order forms. im still working on the jacking points, and will keep you all informed. thanks for all the interest and long live our great cars. lloyd

thanks bill, right guys and girls, ive had so many kind requests from you all, wishing to meet me at stoneleigh, GULP ! i will be on the register stand on and off loads in hall 4, inbetween having a mooch around the show, so if im not on the stand when you get there, you may see me wandering around. im over 6ft tall, fat, ugly, have a dodgey eye and will be wearing a welsh rugby shirt ( numptys, what a p**s poor performance on the weekend, we were made to look second rate, ireland played fab, and good on em ! ), so im sure you will spot me, just say hi. the sills and order forms will be on the register stand most of the day, so our thanks must go to colin and amanda, andy dann and bill murray for thier help. all the best triumph lovers, lloyd

hi guys, we overfitted the sills i had done over some nos yesterday, and the result was very very good indeed, just two tiny tweeks needed to the strengthener sill, that i have informed the manufacturer about this morning and will be rectified before i place your orders ( bill dont panic, they were tiny, but i just want things perfect, drop me a pm with your no and i will give you a call to explain ) the jacking points fitted well also, and on that note i will get back to you all regarding availability of the ones i refered to in the earlier posting. all in all, top job !! im very happy my thanks to ted and richard. lloyd

thanks peter. the current jacking points from the "other" supplier arent quite the right shape, but if you already have some, dont worry, they will fit, just not quite as they should. the proper ones i can get will be £10 EACH CHEAPER than the other ones available, so thats a £40 saving on a set !!!! plus they are strenghened, the others are not. im having a meeting with the chap next week, and will have some in my hand allowing me to try them in the strenghener sill ive had done, so i can check fitment, so i will keep you all informed. anyone interested please let me know, as i can pack them with the sills you have ordered, saving on the postage, many thanks.
