  3. anyone for a freshly remanufactured mk2 half front wing 😉
  4. here is the confirmed postage price below, please add box prices form the attached box info form and any additional insurance you require, add it all up and send me a cheque please £19.60 PER SHIPMENT and is for ALL size panels EXCLUDING sills insurance comes with this price covering contents up to £100, up to £200 is an extra £1.80 and up to £300 is an extra £6.30. PER PARCEL I CANNOT PRICE FOR SILLS, UNTIL I HAVE A SILL IN A BOX TO WEIGH. AS THE SILLS HAVE TO GO PARCELFORCE 48LARGE, THE WEIGHT MAKES ALOT ( unlike the above price ) OF DIFFERENCE TO THE PRICE, I.E I CAN GET AN OUTER, CENTRE AND INNER, IN ONE BOX, SO UNTIL I COMBINE PANELS WITH BOXES, I SIMPLY WONT KNOW WHAT TO CHARGE YOU. those that have ordered sills i will notify the price to you in due course please note, after the last sill only order fiasco last year, i have already inc a small mark up on the delivery costs, to cover my time to pack the boxes, the strapping, buckles and tape i have had to buy to secure the parcels, my time and fuel to take all these boxes to the post office, and my time to queue in said post office in order to get them posted. anyone that has also ordered smaller panels outriggers, A post closures etc, i will put these in with your bigger panels, so these do not need to be costed for in the postage. also, for those that have ordered arches, if i find i can get both sides ( 2no ), turning one upside down in one box, i will ammend your sent payment, but again until i have the panels and the box together, i will not know, so send payment on the basis of one panel = one box. p.s. i rang the box manufacturer the other day and beat them down a bit on some of the prices, its not much, but it all helps !!!! plz send chq asap to lloyd reed 59 glan-y-ffordd taffs well cardiff cf157sl. thank you enjoy your new panels that we have all waited so long for !!!
  5. hi all, here is the latest v12 product / order form so you can see what im doing up to date. more panels will be added in the near future!! i hope to fill in all the tbd prices once i return from the manufacturers on the 23rd
  6. forgot to say, the rear bowl in the pics is a mk1 saloon and estate one, but i am doing the mk2 saloon as well
  7. thanks rob! here are the pics of the front and rear outer bowls, full and repair sizes, also there is one of the estate rear lower valance, again full and repair sizes. i'm still waiting for the mk1 front lower valance price, i will give them a nudge next week when i am there. i will be doing the mk1 saloon rear lower valance also, and the repair size will be the same as the estate. i will, once i have finished ' unpicking ' it from from the car, be doing the mk2 saloon rear lower valance also ( unless someone has one they will kindly lend me ) HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MANY SPOT WELDS KEEP THIS VALANCE ON !!!. i will have to make 2 postings to upload all the pics so if anyone wants anything, email me on lloyd.reed01@virgin.net
  8. hi all, thanks to a call from chris witor, he lead me to the whereabouts of a rear arch bowl that i have been searching for, for many a moon !! so i gave adrian a call, and popped down to see the bristol boys, and met up with them, money changed hands ( thanks darren ) so i now have at long last a rear outer arch bowl !!!!!!!! it was great to meet them at long last, and charlies garage was full of trummies, most of them gleaming, and most of them mk1 pi's, a sight to behold ! there was even one there on a set of webbers, i was drooling, my thanks to you all guys ! SO, to all of you that have ordered front and rear wings ( mk1 & mk2 ), i can now supply you with some new bowls / metal to weld them to !! front outer bowls, i already had, and are available in full and repair sizes, prices are below, and are plus box price and postage full front bowl mk1 or mk2   £140 repair bowl  Â£ tbd, although i would guess around the £80-£90 mark, i will post pics in the next few days so you can see the size of the repair panel rear full bowl mk1 & estates or mk2 saloon  Â£ tbd repair bowl £tbd   i will be taking the rear bowl with me on the 23rd and will await a price, but it should be in the front bowl ballpark price. as the production time is around 4 months, PLUS the time to gather orders ( i normally give it a month ) that is a min 5 month turnaround, SO IF ANY OF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SOME ARCH BOWLS, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH, the sooner the order goes in, the sooner you can have your new bowls to weld your outer wings to, that you have ordered !! please email me on lloyd.reed01@virgin.net
  9. hi to you all again so quickly !! i recieved another email from the manufacturer today, and i will be collecting the FIRST batch of panels on the 23rd of THIS month, so i really need to hear from those of you who orders are comming in the first batch to let me know if you need your panels shipping, so i can order the boxes. PLEASE EMAIL ON  lloyd.reed01@virgin.net TO LET ME KNOW, SO I KNOW WHAT BOXES I NEED TO ORDER.   many thanks
  10. cheers ted, and you are sooooooo right 🙂 right back to business, quick update, all other panels are done, just waiting on the full mk2 front wings, halves and arches. I AM STILL WAITING ON REPLIES FROM MOST OF YOU REGARDING DELIVERY OR COLLECTION, CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I HAVE TO ORDER BOXES FOR THOSE THAT WANT DELIVERY. postage will be by royal mail parcelforce48, a mk2 FULL front wing will cost around £22 to zone A ( awaiting conformation, length and girth box size blah blah blah etc etc ) PLUS the price of the box, i will later in the week when time permits let you all know the prices of the ' smaller ' panel prices, but as the mk2 full front wing is the biggest panel size, you know the rest will be cheaper than the £22. insurance comes with this price covering contents up to £100, up to £200 is an extra £1.80 and up to £300 is an extra £6.30. sills have to go via 48large, and for ONE sill to zone A is around £40 lloyd
  11. good ole ted !!! ted, i'm REALLY sorry, i forgot to respond to your email and let owners know regarding your kind offer !! my only excuse is that life is bonkers at the moment, and on top of the normal bonkersness, I'M DUE TO BECOME A GRANDAD TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME 🙂 WOO HOO !!!!!!
  12. hi dave, cam number says's it's a mk2 vitesse/gt6/mk1&2 2.5 pi but if you said it was ticking over lumpy, chances are it may of been reprofiled ?? but could just be you haven't got the right needles in the carbs to match the cam ? all the best lloyd
  13. hi roger, thanks v much for your input, but already tried both of them. parcel monkey gave 2 options, one being parcel force, and as you say, at £34.75, the other company was dx freight, so rang them direct to double check, and was told thanks but no thanks, quanity issues. dpd was a wash out also, as only 5% of parcels people send are allowed to be of the size of ours, and as they are part of interlink in some way shape or form, i guessing my mate that is opening his account there will have the same responce !! either way i will sort it, as i have to !!! lol.
  14. hi all, sorry for being slow on getting you the postage costs, BUT i am having a TOTAL NIGHTMARE finding a new courior !! two reasons for this: 1,  i'm not a company, so cant get the good rates, although i did think about setting up my company earlier than i wanted to, to get over this 2, since city link ( whom i had my acc with ) went bust, it has sent MASSIVE  ripples across the courior world !! basically as city link were owner drivers said drivers would take any size box that earnt them money. here lies the problem, the box sizes that are required to put your panels in, no one wants to touch them, as they are so big and slow down the processing lines so much, E.G the full front wing box is 1490mm long !! i'm waiting on one more courior to get back to me, via a mate who's going to hopefully open it through his company, just waiting on credit checks, but as he hasnt borrowed anything money wise, his credit is prob rated as rubbish, MADNESS, i will wait and see. i have sorted with another mate of mine that runs a post office, prices to deliver them via parcelforce, only problem with that is, i gotta get all the boxes from here to bridgend, AND THERE'S ALOT OF THEM !! SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS, PLEASE GIMME A SHOUT. CONSIDERING WE ARE IN A RECESSION, YOU WOULD OF THOUGHT COMPANIES WOULD BE GRABING EVERY BIT OF WORK PUT THIER WAY !! typical british work ethic, if it aint easy they aint interested !! SAD ! anyway, here are the twin wall box prices, ONE PANEL = ONE BOX mk2 full front wing   18.90 half front wing          9.73 front arch                 9.73 rear half wing           6.98 rear arch                  6.98 sill ( will take inner, centre and outer  10.00 front bowls full        12.52 front bowls repair   12.52 thanks lloyd
  15. hi all, the 1st order of panels will be with me the last week in august. HOO BLOODY RAY i hear you all say !!! CAN THOSE OF YOU THAT PLACED YOUR ORDER WITH BATCH NUMBER ONE ( not batch number two that was submitted about 3 weeks ago ) PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU INTEND TO COLLECT YOUR PANELS FROM MY CARDIFF LOCK UP, i need to know because i have to order and pay for boxes to be made from a packaging manufacturer for those that will not be collecting. example of price  : half front wing size is around £11, so if you have ordered 4 panels times that price by 4, plus delivery costs. PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR REPLIES AT lloyd.reed01@virgin.net AS IT SIMPLIFIES MY LIFE GREATLY. many thanks lloyd   and before someone says, yes i know i still have to find a new courior so i can give you prices for delivery, dont worry i'm on the case 😉
  16. sorry john, didnt mean to step on your toes, i was up early so was killing time until i went to work to sweat me bits off in this sunshine, only it tipped down in cardiff and i got blooming soaked !!!
  17. hi craig, bolt is unf 5/8" thick, length depends on what fan set up you have, 3 1/4" for viscous and 1 3/4" for fixed fans. lloyd
  18. whats the betting that your next question will be ' where do i buy quality engine mounts from ' lol. i cant remember the answer to that, some are such rubbish quality, they dont even last long enough to get the car futher than the end of the driveway !!!!, c/w i guess, but others on here will know the answer better than i.
  19. hi colin, yep you are deffo missing the 2 packing pieces, if you dont have any spare, chris witor sells them in s/s. here are the two different diff noses, you should have the late one fitted, depending on engine originality etc of course, as previous owners do change things over the years, check your engine no against the log book, your engine no should start with MM. hope this helps
  20. forgot to say, you then need to check that you have the correct nose fitted to the diff, as using 2 packers changes the alignment of the box, prop and diff and you will quickly chew through all your uj's !!!!
  21. hi colin, if the space is so tight that you can't get a spanner to the bolts, it sounds like you havn't got the correct packing spacers under the engine mountings ? if you have hs6's fitted, you should have 2 packers under the carb side of the mount and none on the n/s, thus allowing you to get a spanner in there. is it the original engine for the car? and im assuming you have the smaller battery and tray fitted, as when / if you use two packers, it tilts the engine / alternator closer to the battery. hope this helps
  22. my 4 new tyres have just turned up, under £100 for all four!!! mohawks, made by hankook, gotta be worth a go for every day pottering around in my 2000 auto !?
  23. hi all, ive just got my hands on a load of nos mk2 rear wing panels. if anyone is interested, please email me on  lloyd.reed01@virgin.net
  24. hi all, i forgot to inform you all last week, that the order has gone in and the manufacturer did leave me a window as they knew my order was comming, so delivery date is around 6-8 weeks instead of the usual 3-4 months !! i am compiling the next order to go in already, so if you need something, let me know, i shall be buying excess of most panels so i have stock, but how long that stock lasts, i dont know, so dont rely on it, IF you require panels, please place an order so you are assured to get what you want. I AM AWAITING FRONT WHEEL ARCH BOWL PRICES ( FULL AND REPAIR ), JACKING POINTS, MK1 FRONT LOWER VALANCE AND FLOORPANS,  i simply didnt have room to take the extended floorpan / bulkhead section with me to get a price, will do that in a month or so. I NEED A MK1 AND MK2 REAR LOWER VALANCE, SO I CAN GET THESE REMANUFACTURED, ANY ONE GOT EITHER ?? lee sellers, did you mention you had one i could use, or was that the rear light panel ?? I STILL ALSO NEED MK1 AND MK2 OUTER REAR ARCH BOWLS.
