hi guys, the middle and outer sills have arrived , and dont look to bad at all my i say, i will post some pics of them a bit later, but while i mess around resizing them so they fit to the postings, here"s something to think about, for all you that have ordered the sills, you will need jacking points, so ive had a very nice conversation today, with a chap that was well known in triumph circles years ago, ( and still is to some of us ) and has agreed to supply us with jacking points, THE PROPER ONES THAT FIT !!!!!!!!! and he is eager to help us / me in my quest to keep our beloved cars on the road, and i thank him deeply for that and so should all of you. so if you need jacking points, let me know. right, im off to mess around to try and get these pics to the right size !!!

hi tim, email sent, and belive you me, it really is my pleasure, it makes me smile knowing i am helping to keep our fab cars on the road, alive and thriving, thats why im doing all this, only two things in life make me smile, saving t2000 triumphs and watching wales win the 6 nations time after time LOL(drool), normally us welshmen just worry about england beating us, dont think we have to worry about that this year, between us and france i think !!! better luck next year england :) :) he he he hi colin, email sent boyo mikeyb, dito, thank you andy borris, same again, thank you ive had heaps of orders, bodes well for the rest of the panels :) ted, i"ll take you up on that offer, but i did notice last time we held hands, your palms were quite hairy, any chance of giving em a quick shave LOLLOL all the best to you all lloyd

hi tim, my pleasure, i take it you want mk1"s ? hi mikey, yes you do, as colin and bill have both stated. these outer sills are as original stanpart ones and look totally different to the " cover " sills that we have all been used to for so many years now. as soon as they arrive, i will take some pics and post them, for you all to see.. for all of you on the sill list, i still havent had all of your email addys yet, i need this to send you the order forms, for those that havent sent me it yet, can you please do so, i will be taking order forms to stoneleigh also, you will find them with colin and amanda on the register stand along with the " sample "sills im taking up, in hall 4. my thanks to all lloyd

lol, i know what you mean steve. this sill topic started 2 or 3 days ago on fernys posting,, i made a few phone calls , and hey presto, ive had orders flooding in ever since and been left with my head spinning !!!!! i will get extra and pop them on the shelf, but not many, and i can always get another order together at a later date, but as everything, it just takes such a long time, hence why i am asking owners to order this time round, GET EM WHILE THEY"RE HOT (drool)LOL.

hi peter, you lucky so an so !!!!!!!!! as regarding payment, you can all sent it when you want, i was going to wait until after stoneleigh and people had seen the quality of the sills, but feel free to send it any time. the easiest way i guess, would be paypal, so long as you all put it down as a " gift ", or i will be charged paypal fees on every transaction, or i will pm each of you the account number and sort code and you can just transfer it in ( barclays ), but before any of that, i need to type up an order form and email it to you all, so its all kept "offical", i shall do that today, and email them off to everybody that is on the list, so those that havent given me thier email addy, please do so. lloyd

hey there steve, your getting confused, you wanna try it from my end, LOLLOL ive got orders of all sorts flying in, my head is frazzled lol i will try and clear this all up, front half wings mk2: i need more confirmed orders / pre orders to make it viable, i will be sending out order forms to members that have requested them in order to take thier 50% deposits, and will hold that money in a special account ( with alan chatterton as counter signature ) until such time that i have enough orders to make it all happen, if there isnt enough interest and monies generated, i will simply return members monies and the wings wont get done. i have to ask for a 50% deposit to prove that people are serious in thier requests for panels, or i could be stuck with alot of panels, and tens of thousands of pounds out of pocket. if production goes ahead, from placement of order with the manufacturer, the lead time at present is around 10-12 weeks, after that time, the other 50% will be asked for and must be paid without delay. sorry if that all sounded a bit harsh, but thats how it has to be to enable this to work, as we are talking vast sums of money here, and the manufacturer doesnt mess around, they are as professional as they come. sills: now that is a bit easier, i take the outer and middle sills to stoneleigh for you all to see the quality, take more orders, ask for your monies, place the order with the manufacturer, wait 3-4 months for them to arrive, unpack them, repack them all individually and send them off to you all. ive asked for £2.50 to allow me to repack your sills, to cover my time, packing material and fuel to take them to the post office etc, but there will still be the postage cost on top to get them to you, as stated when i posted the price list. i have not put any monies on top of the panels, they are cost price, all i will be doing is adding the £2.50, and to be honest, that wont really cover it all, ive simply arranged all this to save our cars and help you fellow members because a minimum order number was required, so someone to to organise it so it could happen. if we can arrange drop off points as ted said, that would save you the £2.50 and me the time of repacking them, plus if you want to collect them off me from cardiff, im more than happy to do that also, it would be nice to meet some of you at long last. all my money is tied up in the other panels at the mo, in order to get the outer and inner sills for you all to see at stoneleigh, i asked andy dann to pay for them, this he did willingly and without hesitation, so a HUGE thanks has to go to him, thanks again andy, you"re a star !! i hope that has clarified everything, but if ive missed anything, just gimme a shout, and once again thanks for everyones support and good wishes that i get daily, but please remember guys, if we want these panels, it is up to us to make it happen. lloyd

there is a minimum order number with these sills, and i have reached that number, but as i have stated before and as andy said, each order takes 3-4 months each time, upon placement, so if you know your car is gunna need sills in the near future, can i surgest you place an order now and just stick em away until you need them ?? lloyd

ive been called many many things over my lifetime tim, saviour was never one of them, ask the ex wife, he he he. glad to be of help, as that is all im trying to do, save our great cars :) chris witor is passing any of his customers over to me that need sills, so hopefully that should add to the already big order list

peter, your on the sill list, only seems right that you should be, as all this started with your posting lol. like i havent got enough to do already, thanks for that lol ;) :P mikey, your on there also, just let me know how many of what you want upon deciding plz. onward and upward, yey, long live the t2000 :) :)

brill news everybody, both the outer and middle sills are are carbon copy of the stanpart ones, plus contain the front nose, it dont get better than that surely !!!! the outer sill and nose are pressed separately, then welded together and ground down so you cant see the join, so for those of you that prefer to cut the nose off anyway, they will be cheaper than the £103 as no welding and grinding costs are added. the middle strengthener is one pressing, so the option of not having the nose attatched does not apply they are prepared to rush up an order of one outer and one middle and get it to me so i can take it to stoneleigh allowing you all to see the quality of them ANDY DANN IS PAYING FOR THESE, SO OUR THANKS SHOULD GO TO HIM !! full outer sills with nose attatched £103 + vat + postage mk1 and 2 full outer sill with nose but not attatched £96 + vat + postage full middle sill strengthener with nose attatched £70 + vat + postage. ive had quite a few orders already, and thanks for that, so if you want some please let me know asap. i tried to beat them down on price, even fluttered my eyelashes at them and showed em a bit of leg over the phone, but they wouldnt budge on the price lmao let me know guys so i can put the order together as there is a 3-4 month lead time on these. lloyd

yes ted, please follow up on yours, as you say, it good to have a choice, better for everyone, the more the choice, the lower the price will be driven down good idea on the drop off points also, sounds like a plan

right then, mk1 and mk2 outer " full restoration sills " ( not cover sills ) £103 each plus vat, plus delivery. middle strengtheners £70 plus vat and plus postage im sure if i can get enough orders off you guys, i can beat them down a bit. min order at that price is 5 no. let me know guys, i would like to add £2.50 to each sill just to cover my time and re packing each individual sill, to send to all that want some, i hope that is ok. lloyd

WEY HEY, we have a winner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mk1 and mk2 outer sills PLUS middle strengthener sills also. just need to check some stuff out, will update you all later ted, still sus your supply out please, as the more the merrier as far as im concerned, plus yours may well turn out to be cheaper than the source ive found

hi bill thanks for taking the time to take the pics for me, very good of you. hmmmmmm, well first off, the lower fixing bracket certainly isnt as the stanpart ones were and the " indent " in the A post closure panel differs also from the stanpart ones, they have more of a curve in them, so one can only assume it is an aftermart one. the bit that has me scratching my head, is the rear top upswept curve where it meets the A post, you said its fits well, the aftermarket ones didnt, perhaps your car is bent LOL. i think we must assume then, that your wings are indeed aftermarket ones, i rule out very early stanpart pressings as the closure panel and fixing brackets differ so much to the oe items. as far as i am aware, yes you are right, there were only two sorces for full front wings over the years. i have spoken to many many people over the years ( the last conversation was only last week ) and they all say the same thing, the aftermarket ones are a right b*****d to fit, and take huge manhours to get and look right, but you say that yours are an easy fit and look good, so i am afraid to say, you have me stumped regarding the origin of yours. sorry i couldnt solve the mystery of where yours came from lloyd

hi bill thanks for that, and if they also have the A post closure panels, then i would say 99.9% they are nos ones then, any chance of a pic of these also plz. how does the top of the wing fit ( where the rear top of the wing has that little upward kick on it ) where it meets the bottom of the A post, good or bad, as that is a clear tel tel sign of wether they are nos or aftermarket thanks v much lloyd

i notice on bills front wings that they both come complete with the top slam panel and the lower rear fixing bracket as far as i am aware, aftermarket ones did not come with these, and as they came from a jaguar dealership are they nos ones that simply missed out on the process of having the hole and nut ??? perhaps very early pressings that also were primed red by someone after to aid protection ????? bill, is the lower fixing bracket curved in the middle or is it a " straight " stepped curve, i cant make them out on the pics, if they are proper curves, then they are sure to be nos wings lloyd

well put ted, right on the button !!! right guys, just incase something should happen to me whilst im holding all of your monies ( not that it will as i am a picture of health lol ), ive asked alan chatterton to be a counter signature on my account, allowing him access to the account, so monies can be returned or the monies transfered to another account should someone wish to carry on my work. bloody hell, reading that back makes it sound like im on deaths door , far from it, i just want to make sure your money is safe !!!! im off to the bank next week to double check with the manager that all is ok and to get alan put on, i should of done this prior to making the posting the other day, but wasnt quite expecting the rush of members that ive had to be honest offering up thier money, THANK YOU. i will send out the order forms to you all towards the end of next week via email, thanks again to you all for your kind words and support in this venture, not least of all the kind members that have lent us thier panels and entrusted thier safe keeping to me.
