    Yes, not quite running correct!   Seems down on power at top end and feels like a minor mis-fire.

    I have now booked it in at Moordale Motors as I have another issue that I want Dale and co to look at for me!

    Radiator out, lift engine/gearbox, tilt, turn sideways and level, move car forwards to bring engine/gearbox close to windscreen (PROTECT THE WINDSCREEN!), close bonnet, move car back, lower engine/gearbox to floor or trolley.   Voila!

    Thankyou John,  I’m going to give it a go in a couple of weeks but I’m going to get the head off first so there’s less engine to deal with 👍

    Had anyone ever removed and refitted a  1200 Herald  engine without taking off the bonnet,  if so is it difficult as I am loathe to take the bonnet off if it can be done , as it fits really well and I don’t fancy trying to re-adjust  the fit if it gets disturbed , I know they can be a nightmare !!  The plan  is to get the ancillaries and the head off, leaving a short engine to remove and vice Versa on the refit 

    any comment/advice gratefully received

    Hi Sam, I will collect it from Clive at the club dinner as long as it will go in his car, and we can sort out how to get it to you  when I get it back to Staffordshire if that’s ok

    It’s a 1500 Darren days they’re all noisy lol ,  also it has a Stainless steel exhaust which is quite loud 

    much easier on the vocal chords to chat while travelling  now 😂 still got the gearbox tunnel to soundproof yet

    I was busy last week when Darren came down to Hednesford,  we did a little bit of fettling on Marmite and I made a soundproof mat for under the bonnet , stuck with spray carpet adhesive.  Result

    I’ve got to get the head off my herald, this doesn’t fill me with confidence lol 😂😂
