  1. Here’s the Eureka! Moment! Whilst holding all these bits of wood and bearings getting ready to cut and drill grooves! I was leaning on my B &D workmate when I noticed the job was already done, the jaws of the work mate are grooved sufficiently to allow a pipe to be placed between and straightening can be worked! actually a nice restorer passed on this tip, thanks mate.
  2. Many thanks All, it just goes to show how useful this forum is and the responses so good Cheers All.
  3. Ed your deffo Tool of the Month! I mean the equipment not you! Im going to have a go at making one that will help delay the process, you can tell im not really looking forward to doing the pipes.
  4. Many thanks Mr Pearce, new tools already ordered, that will give me another couple of days lining things up!
  5. I’ve plucked up the courage and strength to sort my brake pipes and fuel pipes out! So they have been supplied in a nice rolled up coil! I’ve read reviews on some straighteners but it seems that straightening by hand is the way ahead. I thought I read somewhere that pushing some electrical wire thru the pipe will help to stop it flattening is that correct and if so can I use my vice if careful! Any thoughts please!
  6. The tank on the left is my original 13/60 the tank on the right Mr Standard Thread can advise as to the model that came from but I think he mentioned a mk2 vitesse
  7. My renovations have taken a different route so I have available The Front Left and Front Right deep pressed floor pans as supplied by ChD’ also the left and right A panels that attach to the bottom of the bulkhead also supplied by ChD. I’m in the BN area of Sussex any reasonable offer acceptable postage will need to be arranged. Also I have two bulkheads where certain panels can be retreved.
  8. I raised the question as my tank had been left empty since 1995 and the fuel pipes were fully corroded so I assumed the inside of the tank would have a layer of the stuff over it! But thank you for the updates very interesting.
  9. It all depends on whether you live in the Hill Billy part of Mid Sussex or the intelligent part of East Sussex!
  10. Making Tea and reading the CT mag come to mind!
  11. Arrived here in the middle of Sussex 07:30 this Wednesday Morning! Read it twice already!

As a valued customer you will always find that your premiums will increase! That’s why you’re a valued customer! I found it best always to shop around find the deals but it always comes back to what you’re comfortable with it’s the same with insurance don’t wait for the renewal just go shopping two months before then play the game with your insurance company and get your best deal!

Looks Great, reminds me of my dads Dolly which I learnt to drive in,Lovely.
  22. Yep Im a 6 footer! I forgot to mention I had removed the boot lid so my wife wouldn’t lock me in it!
  23. This won’t be the best technical answer you’ll get but presuming you’ve undone all the retaining nuts and released the bottom pipes that leaves the top filler pipe! Which can be a bugger! So climb in the boot and give some wrangling in all directions to break the rubber seal, with a bit of luck it will then come out simples! Well that’s what the blind man did!
  24. Many thanks I will give that a go.
  25. Hi All, Like D4ren I am putting in new fuel lines from tank to carb on my 13/60 convertible and would like to know is it wise to put in an extra filter and where would be the ideal position many thanks Adrian.
