  1. This won’t be the best technical answer you’ll get but presuming you’ve undone all the retaining nuts and released the bottom pipes that leaves the top filler pipe! Which can be a bugger! So climb in the boot and give some wrangling in all directions to break the rubber seal, with a bit of luck it will then come out simples! Well that’s what the blind man did!
  2. Many thanks I will give that a go.
  3. Hi All, Like D4ren I am putting in new fuel lines from tank to carb on my 13/60 convertible and would like to know is it wise to put in an extra filter and where would be the ideal position many thanks Adrian.

  7. When I was sixteen the first car I bought was a 1964 MG Midget, needed a lot of TLC but probably is where my love of dismantling cars and putting back together started,48 years later and still learning!
  8. Having organised bonfire night firework displays and the fund raising events to ensure the main event happens for the last 32 years down here in Chailey , you soon realise that you are doing it for your own enjoyment and if anyone turns up and enjoys it as well, that’s a bonus. The people who miss out are the ones who don’t turn up. So carry on and Enjoy!
  9. Just seen this Trabant at Eastbourne today looks like a solution to doors not lining up! Plus the weight saving will give better fuel efficiency and if it’s a nice day you can go really alfresco!
  10. The car was left in a garden paddock at the foot of the South Downs outside since 1995 ! It took some shifting to get it on to at trailer and some to get get get it into my place!
  11. So nearly a year on and I face a dilemma! Am I actually restoring this 13/60 or am I creating a vehicle that resembles a 13/60 and at what point do I say it’s a restoration or a reincarnation! The fact is the front floor pans had rotted away the rear floor pans also rotted away! Basically the bulk head and windscreen was rotted away!So in terms of the original car the best bits left are the bonnet the boot lid the seats and chassis and an untried engine! The only thing for sure it will end up a Triumph 13/60 convertible rebuilt by a sight challenged chap with nothing better to do!
  12. I knew I should have left this chat alone as After all this time shielding Myself and daughters have all got the Covalitis! I don’t know how my wife is dodging it as we both have to care for one daughter full time mind you I don’t recall seeing her reflection in the mirror!
  13. Currently dodged a few bullets having shielded from early February 2019 but have had skin cancer removed from side of head so recommend factor 50 when your roof is down! But how about getting out there on the Honey Trail and support our local proper suppliers nothing better than local Honey! Especially if it’s been found on route to a good inn.I did venture out with a mate to collect a bulkhead from a knowledgable man from Near Leeds he had a very nice Standard and Dolomite.
  14. When the day comes and I’m tightening up the bolts that secure the the rear tub is there a torque setting!

  18. Just watching Emmerdale tonight as it’s too cold to go out and spuddle with the 13/60 when a nice looking Herald Estate drives up behind Marlon!

  21. Hi,When I acquired one and a half years ago my White Triumph 13/60 Convertible it had been sadly neglected since 1995 in the corner of a field slowly rotting away! But back in the late sixties early seventies when she was new according to the previous owner she was used to parade the new Miss Brighton through the streets of Brighton as was the thing in them days! So I was wondering where would one look for archive film footage ! It would be good to see the car being driven, also it’s part of its history.
  22. Hi . I’m not griping because I did not win the Item on our fav auction site but sometimes I wonder what if I put my project up for auction what pot of gold would I would receive! I have just been watching a Bulkhead for a Herald/vitesse go for £577, I know It’s in excellent condition and will serve someone well but wow I only paid £450 for my Rusty Resto! Well I’m not parting with her there’s too much off my knuckles ground into her plus what else would I do! and I’m not doing it for the money I’m doing for the lovely car she was and can be.
  23. Would that be a Triumph 20 push bike from the late 1960’s
