  1. Jim...i dunno who's falling out with who..there are a lot of people doing the 10cr ..all fine and dandy there are some people not doing the 10cr..myself included..i have my reasons for not doing it and pretty much everyone who knows me knows why.and the others not doing it have theirs it just happens that we mayl be in europe on the same weekend as the 10cr ers . we asked if the route the 10cr would be taking was known as ,if it in any way crossed our path, we might just park up and watch them go by as we tuck into a bit of nosh now if some of the 10cr ers have got their dander up because of that, then chill peeps

The route take a lot of work planning lets give the organisers a bit of respect and do our bit to keep this great event going . Rob It's more likley to cause problems if people who are sticking exactly to the suggested route, find themselves running behind schedule etc ..and end up driving like a spanner to catch up..that will attract attention fron jo public and poss the local police..and with club stickers on..that's when MSA may take a dim view ......but you are quite right about the bit about being near people for spares etc ..but if people are going in small groups of 2 or 3 cars ..they normally have enough bits/bodging skills to get them to the next meet up point...by cutting the route
  3. Dale..panic not...those of us doing our own thing are already mindful of not landing CT with stuff it doesn't need..referance to our visit abroad has more been in relation to asking where you[ct ]were going .The details are already being discussed/planned etc elsewhere The only authorities that will need telling are the fashion police if the speedos are packed
  4. And what about Jocko'clock  completely different to the rest of the world

  6. i've half sorted my route out .[the bit to nice anyway]..just need to decide which hotel to book in Nice for the friday night and whether to stop sunday at Rolduc or drive ..oh and do i take one car or two  :-/

i'm sure i've got one of those in the workshop unattached to a car..but as Fenry says..recore
  8. Don't confuse the  asking of questions with moaning groaning...a common problem of a certain populus ellis has pretty much answered the question so far .. but i'm sure there will be several people asking other questions ..or would you rather they wandered off to another place where people treated their questions with a bit of respect
  9. There were  indeed fewer ..only 16..but no ,no campsite..a hotel in Nice on the sat night .the car park of which looked like a rally service stop on the sun morn.....the rest was driving...more akin the RBRR
  10. if it's like getting RLO acceptance here then an exact route is not required just a pretty good idea of places visited..so ellis will prob not have the timings done yet anyway..and will be waiting for any no go's from abroad that he may have to alter the route for, so some excuse there but yes Colin the 03 was more casual ..there was a suggested route ..and we tried to stick to it where we could...time/mechanical bits and petrol allowing The only def bits were the hotel in Nice ...meeting up in menton on the sunday morning...the food stop in Italy...which me and big colin were first to cos we went off route and missed a huge pile up due to a crash  ..and then the ferry...which if memory serves the yellow peril was the only car to make  ..me and colin gave up chasing it at silly speed and caught the next one [or was that 05] and not that many motorways

That's just it James ..i'm not entering.....i stopped doing the 10cr because it went away from it's roots and got too much ...and that was why one of our convoy crashed ...As it's the 10th anniversary of the original..i am going over to celebrate that...It just happens i'm going over the same weekend.. I might ,independantly , book a room at Rolduc on  the sunday night and say hello...or i might not If the organisers have the 10th anniversary in mind and are doing summit [route wise] then they haven't mentioned it at all ...a lack of respect for the event ...or just an oversight..who knows
  12. ajp wrote: Top half or bottom half ? in Colins case the bottom half is not summit that wants  to be in the car when it's on the go but just had a chat with Katie and she's quite keen to do it in her GT6 ...and Colin at present has had to give up work to be a full time carer for his dad so he might be able to come anyway And Re AJP's point about the route not being published.i too am doing my own route...as per 03..it would be nice to see where and when roughly the entrants will be so we could swing by and do a drive by , if it's not too far off our route
  13. I'm working on getting the second half of  the two fat ladies out of retirement for the 10th anniversary of the original We won't be starting thurs Am but some time thurs Pm...then an overnight blat ..with the odd coffee stop..down to Nice for friday night..haven't decided on our route yet .and may even not have a def route when we set off.....but i'm sure we'll bump into trummies along the way
  14. i thought as it is the 10th aniversary it was going to some what resemble the original....i've already got it planned ...just need to book the hotel in Neice
  15. it'll prob be the saloon for me...intend to have sold ,after finishing ,my gt6...but then could always get the standard 10 or the 1200 ready
  16. MMMM..not sure about the goat remedy...sounds a bit witch docter to me..anyway she's booked in to be induced wednesday if he hasn't decided to appear before

  18. What's missing off that snagging chart is ..don't let the missus get you you tipsy [and then have her wicked way with you] exactly 9 months before
