Jonny-jimbo i recently replaced a pinion bearing and oil seal in my mk2 2500 for the first time took just over an hour once the diff is out, you will need to remove the nut numbered 510618A to drift the bearing out, to undo that nut you will need to put two of the propshaft bolts and nuts back into the flange with a strong ish bar through those bolts to hold against, while you undo that nut with a breaker bar 🙂

Nick inner and outer sills need replacing, ive cut out half the drivers side floor pan and replaced it plus a new outrigger, the passenger side front floor pan needs replacing plus outrigger, its had patchs welded on the front inner wheel arches both sides, needs welding on the rear of the front inner wheel arches both sides, the top rear sping mounts dont look like they have long left before they rot through, the whole of the under side has been heavily coated with under seal even the brake pipes the underseal has let water and moisture through over the years as i found out on its first mot test with me the rear brake pipe that runs over the diff blew out while the car was on the brake testing machine had to drive it 12 miles home on the hand brake scary ive spent alot on this car recon overdrive box, recon diff, electric cooling fans, uprated alternator and starter motor,mk1 trailing arms, mk1 drive shafts hubs, tr6 steel wheels chris whitor lower uprated rear springs, aftermarket heater unit plus fan plus more, im not spending any more on a car thats slowly rotting away, going to save the front wings and rear arches and transfer every thing else onto the mk2 ex pi i bought a couple off months back this ones solid in the right places

if your going to fit a revotec fan controller into your radiator make sure its fitted in a convenient place to access it,there is a very small flat head screw in it to adjust to fan cutting in and out
-
have a look round your local breakers yards ive used a mercedes 12v electric fan with a Revotec 3/8 bsp electronic fan controller youl need to braze a 3/8 bsp female adaptor into your radiator to screw the fan controller into, the Revotec controller kit part no EFC 3/8 ext comes with instructions, relay, and cable. have a look at the Revotec web site 🙂
