  1. If you do end up making up another board and don't use the rear seats I'll be happy to buy them from you. :) Bradley.
  2. I'd guess there wouldn't be a lot of space back there with them fitted. A quick search on google threw this up, a MK2 GT6 restoration. http://club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum10/Blah.pl?m-1267839478/s-all/ Scroll down a few posts there is a picture of the rear seats that have been striped out, but unfortunately no pictures of them fitted. Bradley.
  3. Whilst we're on the subject of seats, was the rear seat conversion ever available on MK2 GT6s? and if so has anyone got any pictures of them fitted? Bradley.
  4. Alright Bill, you seem to know a thing or two about these seats! ;) Lovely pictures too, the red seats look fantastic. I think I prefer the horizontal pleats as regards to the seat structure but prefer the look of vertical pleats, if that make sense. James, I've sent you another pm, let me know what's happening with the seats. :) Bradley.
  5. I think I might go for custom jobbies anyway. I have a good car upholstery just around the corner from me. Then I can do what ever colour and texture of material I like with any colour piping, logos etc. 8) Bradley.
  6. James, pm sent. :) Bill, all sounding good to me, making me even more tempted to get a pair! Thanks for the tip about Newton Commercial, I'll give there site a look now. Bradley.
  7. Clive, not in a position to buy at the moment, but will start ringing around after the next pay cheque. I thought Rimmer's did recover kits, although not sure about foams. Look at the link, in the picture aren't the covers for highbacks' in the centre? Bradley.
  8. Guessing it's pretty rare to get them though. Thanks for the tip. :) Bradley.
  9. Thanks Laurence, looks like I'll have to get a set from the States then. Chris, they look fantastic don't they. :) Bradley.
  10. Am I right in thinking that the 'highback' GT6 seats were only available as an option on US spec MK2 GT6s? The European market never got these seats, did they? Bradley.
  11. Hmm, two conflicting views here. I'll give them an email over the weekend to see what they reply with, can't hurt trying. The smallest sized 5 spoke Revolution I could find were 15x6, which is just too big for the car I want it for. 14x5.5 would be perfect with 60/175 tyres on. 8) Bradley.
  12. John, that's a shame, but thanks anyway! :) It seems I'll only be able to get 13s or 14s second-hand then. Bradley.
  13. John, would you mind sharing where you got those wheels from? I can only seem to find the 15" variety on the net. Bradley.

I drove through the snow and salt and they were still perfect 6 months later. Chris. Nice to have some first hand experience, with pictures too. 8) The bumpers do look to fit well and have a nice shine like chrome. If it were me in the position of re-chroming or buying stainless I would defiantly be going the stainless route, would probably work out cheaper in the long run as well. Bradley.

  16. Has anyone here got any first hand experience of the fit? I'd always be worried paying that much money that the fit wouldn't be as good as an original bumper. Also the stainless bits and bobs on my car don't seem to give the same shine as chrome, maybe I should get the metal polish out? Is it just me? Although lifetime anti-corrosion warranty sounds nice. Bradley.

  20. Hey, I think they look pretty good, seems like I'm in the minority there though. :P Bradley.

Over on the TSSC forum someone recommend for me to read this, I haven't read the whole lot yet but it is certainly teaching me a few things. It's out of print now so if you want a hard copy you'll have to buy second hand. Or it's available to read free of charge on this site. Also The Triumph Performance Bible by Steve Knight, I haven't read this yet because I'm reading the Vizard book but had a quick flick through the copy I've got and it looks interesting. A lot of people have given it good review too. Bradley.

  24. I'm confused. So, Tim you're running a 3.63 diff not the 3.27? This means the ratios will be fine with the 3.63 and the type 9. It's the 3.89 that doesn't work well with a type 9? and the 3.27 that blows up eventually with a type 9 and a bit of power? Bradley.
