    OK, thanks for that, I'll carry on sanding then, I am using a DA Sander but it isn't coming off in no time, its taking ages.

    Due to the fact that my GT6 has been resprayed at least 3 times in the past plus its original colour it is now reacting when I put any primer on the panels that I have worked on so I am thinking of having the bonnet which is obviously the biggest panel shot blasted. Does anyone know what kind of price you are looking at to have the bonnet done, I have been rubbing it down with a sander for hours but it is now getting to be a ballache.

    Hello all, will MK3 Spitfire doors fit a MK3 GT6 or do they have to be MK4 and 1500?

    It's a 1972 GT6, the strips appear to have been hand painted and will either have to be rubbed down and resprayed or coated.

    Can I just ask what material the strips are on top of the rear wings, as in are they painted strips of steel, what colour are they if they are, and what colour should they be for a yellow GT6, or should they be chrome. I have just started a restoration of GT6 and have the strips but don't know if they should be chromed or painted not that I'm anywhere near that stage yet.
