Mossman
My Triumph Moss has Herald front suspension, I have cleaned out the grease and replaced it with oil. Is this OK or if the front has been refurbished can I use Grease? No history with the car but it looks like the front suspension has been refurbished at some time. Also the charge light from the alternator (vitess 2ltr engine)has stopped working, bulb OK charging OK at 14VOLTS, any ideas? Thanks Mossman 8)
neilnaz
Trunnions should be oiled with EP90.'Charge light' goes out when alternator is charging ie giving 13.5v or more. Switch ignition on. Red light on. Start engine and the red light should go out. This indicates everything is AOK. If yours is doing this then fine. It is not a charging light but a warning light and if it is shining when the engine is running then it indicates a fault. Incidentally mine glows very slightly ie it isn't totally extinguished - always has.I hope this helps.Neil

Toledo Man
Measure the voltage across the battery terminals with a working multimeter. In-car voltmeters can't be trusted.
