2000, MK1 front spring/strut

Put the strut top through the hole at the top of the inner wing and just finger tight a couple of nuts onto the strut top just to support it. 

This will allow you to move it about at the bottom without if falling out all the time. The flat bit with the four holes at the bottom of the leg should be angled out rather than in if you know what I mean. It should go without too much trouble. 

 

Oh yeah, and disconnect the track rod end, otherwise it will never line up. 🙂

Thanks Steve....been doing that all day except undoing the track rod....to lift the disc assy needed muscles like Popeye
