Marinaman
Hello, Please, could someone advise me? I am working on a leaking Triumph 1300 FWD clutch slave cylinder. And I have this NOS 1500 clutch slave cylinder laying about. Can I swap out the 1300 model (64068381) for a 1500 model (64068388)? I know that: The 1500 model has a longer body (longer stroke?) Has the same bore as the 1300 model (7/8") But the piston is a bit longer and has a spring behind it Is the 1500 model an improvement on the 1300 model? Thank you. thescrapman
I don’t think there was any overlap of 1300 and 1500 production, and there are a number of improvements to components on the 1500. if you have it, I would try it.
Marinaman
Thank you for the info and your suggestion. It would have worked if the push rod was shortened. So, no straight swap. I used the rubber piston seal from the 1500 model. That's the same. Cleaned out the bore of the original one and put it all back together. I have clutch action again 🙂 Thank you.
