in the end, I have found (through some of my Trader collegues) a chap in Doncaster who will take my car, remove the axel, recon the diff and put it all back together for £300+vat. Since the only other place I can find to do this is Moss and they want 3-4 weeks to do the job rather than the couple of days that this fella wants and they want me to strip out the axel assembley myself, I think I'll be going to Doncaster next week :D
