Doig
After continuing clutch judder probs (see previous thread). I took the car for a long trip last weekend and on the way home I had some clutch clearence problems again (basically engaging gears was very difficult, to the point of having to turn the car off in order to get into first) >:(Had similar probs a few months ago after I changed the clutch and they were fixed (temporarily) by fitting a new master and 7/8th slave cylinder.Tried spacing the slave in a bit with a few washers but it made no improvement.I'm guessing the clutch plate was distorted when I put the gearbox in and has only got worse with the constant heat of a long trip. Going to book in with my mechanic to get it sorted as I don't have enough time to do it myself, and seemingly I made a bit of a hash of it myself.I think I'll have the actuating mechanism looked at as that may be contributing also.If anyone can think of anything else, or can say what brands of clutch to avoid it would be greatly appreciated. Doig
I'm in New Zealand so ordering part from Europe can be a bit expensive.Car is running as standard.I'm booked in with the local specialist next week so hopefully I'll be sorted soon. :)
