Have you tried S & S? They usually have a good selection of 2nd hand stock, it might be worth giving them a call.

What's actually wrong with the motor? I had mine fail on me earlier this year, so took it off and stripped it down. After emptying about 1/2 pint of rainwater from the gear housing ::), I just filed down the brushes, cleaned up the contacts, resoldered it and whacked a load of fresh grease into the housing. Been working fine ever since! And the total cost for that was about 0.5p worth of solder.

It's not too difficult to DIY it, in fact the biggest problem I had was fitting the thing back in properly - unless you count spending half an hour under my work bench trying to find one of the springs.... :-/
