Philip Blank
hi there. i just question why you'd need one of those new starters? i know they deliver a lot more torque but the 2000s start damn well on the pre-engaged starters that are standard on the later models. i would agree that the earlier models on the inertia starters weren't too flash. i found that installing a recon pre-engaged has given me good starting no matter what weather conditions, no matter how long the car is left and that's a car with a highish comp. anyway, just some musings. philip blank. Mark K. Brown
I installed a GM Delco alternator on my '70 GT6+ after going through two Lucas ones (one rebuilt, one new) in 7 months. The GM is a bit more robust, puts out more amps (60, I think?).Check this link below for excellent info on the installation: http://teglerizer.com/alternator/index.htmlCheers!
