  1. In light of the tragic news of Martin Randles untimely death it has been decided that this event is now closed to further entrants. The event WILL TAKE PLACE as planned, not least in tribute to the man who came up with this fantastic annual run out through some of the best bits of the North. Any questions relating to the weekend should be addressed to myself, Mike Charlton (Velocita Rosso) or Mik Davis via the forum.
  2. I certainly intend to be there having done every one since 2003 with the exception of last year (bloody work got in the way :() And OK Bill, I will buy you a beer ;D
  3. I echo that comment Jason, I have used Meguiars on all my cars and it is indeed very good stuff.
  4. I had a go at it last year coming North to South i.e up the easier North side and down that very wiggly South side. Had the TR7 not lunched its gearbox I would have been able to tell if it was possible for a Triumph to do it; as it was I did it in a VW hire car (forget what flavour) and it struggled at times. The main problem is that there are some tremendous humps in the road that would likely tear off the exhaust on the lower slung models, if not leave you completely beached. Couple that with some VERY tight bends, no barriers and loose surfaces and you are tempting fate. As Andy says, have a go by all means - who knows they may have done some work on it since last June (1012) when I had a crack. But you have been warned......
  5. A stick? I used to dream of having a stick! I had an old toothpick....
  6. Well, given a following wind I should make it back in the TR7 in time for the setting up.... What have I just said!!!
  7. Good to see they are working on the bit where the hot pork sandwich stand usually lives 🙂
  8. Hi McJim,  I have used that garage before on my way back from the land of the Jaggy Thistle but I seem to think that on the last RBRR it was closed when we passsed it? :-/
