  1. John O'Groats was slower than usual last time because of social distancing.
  2. Well known in the 2000 Register as well
  3. I'm sure he can always disguise one of the Cortinas to look like a 2000 😁
  4. My 2 are both doing it. Jason Stanley and I will be in my mk1, recently back from some much needed bodywork, and pretty much ready now. Meanwhile Tim Ward and Andie Speak will be in Krusty Mustard, having an oil change now. This is a bit of a last minute change after the demise of his GT6's engine.
  5. If you're trying to get into a slightly scruffy looking mk1 2000 then you really are in a daze!
  6. It might not actuslly be sold yet, so I thought I'd cover myself!
  7. For sale Krusty Mustard aka Rusty Custard, 1971 mk2 2000 saloon. A well known club car, it was bought last year as a temporary stand in while my mk1 was in hospital. Well the mk1 is back and so the time has come to find a new home for Rusty Custard. I completed the last 10CR in it, also the 2023 HCR, 2022 C2C, 2 Daffodil Runs and various 12 car rallies. A survivor of several RBRRs, the car has a 2.5, MOD and 3.45 diff - all the right ingredients for an events car. A few minor blemishes here and there but in generally good condition. £5k ono
  8. Good luck all CT entries. Shame I can't do this one ☹
  9. So what sort of dog does a Triumph owner have after the heartbreak of losing a much loved friend? Another Romanian rescue, obviously. We've had Darcey for a little over 3 months now. 4 years old but very puppyish, very clever and absolutely bonkers! As with all rescues has her issues, which we're getting used to, but loves a fuss. Definitely part of the family now and gets on well with Juliet, now our old girl.
  10. The same goes for Roger and me. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks to Dale and Nigel and congratulations to Annie and David - you're now going to have to battle with the expert clues!
  11. Hi Dale I can't seem to find an email about the meal choices, it might have slipped past me! I've forwarded the menu to Roger and we'll let you know. Thanks, Richard
  12. Certainly is. These cars look so good doing what they do best 🙂
  13. My mk1 2000. Should look a lot better by October and, like Radder's car, be pi powered too. Photo taken on the M3 (I think) by Gary Forman on the 2021 RBRR. My favourite photo of the car 🙂 Reserve car - Krusty Mustard aka Rusty Custard. Completed the 2021 RBRR and, under my ownership, last year's C2C and 10CR. Pictured here at the top if the Stelvio behind Steve's car 🙂
  14. Hopefully the mk1 will be all sorted and pi'd in plenty of time 🤞

    overdrive

I don't do anything going into overdrive, but back off the throttle if accelerating when dropping out. I don't dip the clutch at all
  16. Hi Angela Rusty Custard will hopefully be up for grabs again in the near future. I'll probably do the HCR in it (end of April) then put it up for sale after that. It's a well known club car, a 1971 2000 auto which is now a 2500 MOD in Saffron. If that's of interest to you let me know. If you want/need a car sooner then good luck and happy hunting! 🙂 Richard
