  1. They don't even need to go on the list! I'm certainly not going to forget them 😁
  2. A few jobs to do but nothing too major. Krusty was well sorted for the RBRR by the Rusty Custard crew and Steve did some more fettling as well. Just braved the heat and looked at the brakes and they're fine. Oil and filter change and a few bits to swap over and we'll be sorted 🙂
  3. Lazy Romanian rescue ones! The one furthest is Juliet a 10 year old very nervous girl we've had for 6 years. She's lovely, scared of everything - especially fireworks - and is beautiful. Closer is Trooper, a 15 year old battle scarred old bruiser. The shelter in Romania thought that he wouldn't survive another winter, and thought he deserved a family home for his last few months. Nearly 3 years later and he's still going strong! Both are very affectionate, just in different ways, and are very much part of the family.

    New purchase

I'm becoming quite familiar with the underside! 😂
  5. Now with new poly engine mounts too 😁
  6. Both of us Rob! I'm never going to touch the stuff again.
  7. That was me, almost put us out of the 2018 RBRR. Luckily my co-driver was Dave Maton so we used his car instead. Other people may have more success than me, but based on my experience I wouldn't try it again as it's very difficult to tell whether or not it's adhered properly. Once the tank came out it was obvious that the stuff had peeled off like old wallpaper!
  8. By the way he says he's got good secondhand tanks but not new.
  9. I've sent him a message to let him know.
  10. Thanks Tim, yes spoken to Dave - he hasn't got one, nor have any of the other usual suspects that I've tried. Looks like I might be getting one via Pete Jackson though so hopefully will be sorted soon. Thanks again Tim.
  11. Roger and I are entered in the 10CR. We haven't discussed Border Raiders yet but I'm pretty sure we'll be up for another raid on the Scots!
  12. Hi all. If anyone has, or knows of, a decent mk1 saloon bonnet I would be interested for the right money. My car is having some bodywork done and, while the bonnet is repairable, a better one would be good. Thanks Richard
  13. Didn't you do a couple of miles in a 2000 as well? 😊
  14. That's what I have in the 2000, better than the gear top switch that I had in the Stag. I've driven plenty of column switched cars and found that good too. Horses for courses like most things - find the system you prefer and go with that
  15. Can't remember doing anything other than Steve's South Coast Run and the RBRR of course. That's about 3500 plus other pottering about and a few runs to Essex - probably about 5000 in total. Hopefully improve on that next year Oh and Border Raiders of course, probably nearer 6000 then
  16. I recognise that coffee stop 😊 Border Raiders is a terrific event, 400ish miles driving on brilliant roads with good company
  17. Can't do a CT event without coffee Mike 😁
  18. I'm sure I've seen your Stag somewhere before Pete 🤔😁
  19. Sad to hear the news. Williams were pretty much unbeatable in the mid 90's - which was the era I remember best. Great team back then. Thanks for posting the YouTube link Peter, very entertaining!
  20. 2017 was my car, 2019 Roger's Stag so 2022 will be my turn again. Mk1 but with 2.5 power and MOD box should be a bit more capable this time!
  21. Bloody hell Steve! Don't remember it being dry at Land's End - cold and windy but not dry!😁
