    Door Alignment

Hi i have the passenger door on my Herald 13/60 and it shuts and closes ok so happy days...4 penny washers needed for the door under the read mounting point for the bulk head. On the drivers door i have had to use 7 washers on the mounting point. I now have a V shape where the door closes on the B post effectively meaning the door lock doesnt catch. Where do i need to pack next??

    Bonnet Spring...

Has anyone else had problems with the spring coming off the bonnet at the u pipe, if so how did you fix them?
  7. Upload the photos to Photobucket then use the code from them and paste that for clickable thumbnails
  8. Balanced my prop for £20 that was at a place on Hartlebury trading estate in worcester.
  9. I would go Trunnionless in the future. Sticking with single carb would rather put in O/D. Upgrades i will do , when the car is working. Fusebox Electronic Ignition Electronic fan Alternator Uprated lights. Hmmm then ??
  10. I am doing a herald convertible similar state to yours. Change all the mechanical parts upgrades come when its on the road. Keep an eye out for body parts. Get it on the road and enjoy it sometimes a small job makes a big difference i put the steering column in the other day made me everso happy! Another thought clean the carb it will be fulll of dried crud service kit 30 well worth it
  11. Good call on that... I am thinking of putting relays for the headlamps and separate fuses away from the electrics
  12. I think something far more modern to be honest. I am thinking of grouping or just going one circuit per fuse Wipers Heater Dash electrics Indicators Lights Horn Headlamps (with relay) Radio (later) Thats 8 or am i missing something?
  13. I am progressing slowly with the rebuild. A 99p saloon tub has helped matters I am grafting on a convertible top on to it leaving only 3 pieces to repair  on the tub. Then its bonnet and electrics. The engine runs although needs some fiddling to get it running well. The electrics are standard at the moment however the horn has previously caused problems as I have found the melted wire and a replacement to the press on the steering wheel. Now for safety sake  (My renault recently megane combusted sue to electrical fire) I will be fitting a fuse box to all electrical devices. Now is there a 'How to' guide someone has posted or come across?
