Alex Posted April 1, 2008 Share Posted April 1, 2008 I steam cleaned my block today and noticed a hole in a recess at the front.It would normally be behind the timing cover I think.From memory its next to a core plug but it actually looks like another one is it? DJB_Harvey Posted April 1, 2008 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Yes it is !...always replace both those plugs at the front whenever the engine front plate is off...ive seen some that have been weeping for years going un-noticed from this area ! likewise if the gearbox is out always look at the one at the rear of the block...its always the ones that are totally unaccessable that go first !
