What car is it?
Where is the oil leaking from, front or back?
Does it have an overdrive?
If front, the front oil seal on input shaft or back engine seal. If input shaft then gearbox out. If engine then engine out, unless it is a TR5 or 6 then you can get away with just taking the gearbox out, clutch off, fly wheel off. Usually takes about 10 hours for the job. I know we did it on the 10CR last year.
If the gearbox is leaking at the back and it has an overdrive it could be the adapter plate is bent and will need replacing. No. you can't re-work it and make it flat again, easier to replace. Gearbox out :-)
If no overdrive then perhaps "only" the rear oil seal, sorry but gearbox out again.
