cbv8
Try the easiest first is the rotor arm original Rover part ie a row of numbers on the Bakalite bit as pattern ones are sh*te ??) the amont of failed r.arms (pattern) is unreal ::) The r.arm has to be original even a second hand original is better than a new pattern one other than that check obvious things like leads/plugs(NGKs) cap again i would recommend original ;)
mikeyb
got a holley in my TR7 V8, does a similar thing - I think it is squirting in a little too much petrol via the accelerator pump when I bang my foot down, hence momentarily choking it! If you decide to go for the EFI, I could be tempted with your Holley for my Triumph V8!!!!

wakaday
I had Holley issues on my V8 TR7. I tried everything and eventually bought a brand new weber/Edelweiss. It worked perfect straight out of the box.
mikeyb
interesting vids, will watch a few more when I have time. Book seems to have disappeared into the depths of the bookshelf, not turned up yet. Car not at home, not sure how many idle screws I have got, but carb looks different.
