Pete Arnold
Yesterday I discovered that my electric windscreen washer pump had stopped working. This (so called) Lucas WSB100 universal pump was only fitted last August. It is apparent that there has been water seepage from the casing where the metal and plastic sections join. I'm now wondering if it is important that the unit should be mounted so that the metal section containing the motor is on top of the plastic section through which the water passes. If so I had it mounted the wrong way up!!! Anyone's opinion on this would be welcome as I've just ordered a new pump of the same type. RobPearce
I'd have to check but I think both of mine (that have electric pumps) have them mounted with the motor at the top. It probably shouldn't matter but it's less likely to cause trouble that way.
