daver clasper
Hi. Wondering if this usual after higher mileage?, and also acceptable?, as assume it won't alter the timing setting, as the play is taken up when engine running?. If a problem, could the ends of the pin be peened, so spreading it out, to tighten it up in the dog? Thanks, Dave Edited July 10, 2023 by daver clasper

I’m not sure of the size of the pin, but Halfords do a box of roll pins, one of which should fit as they expand into position anyway. Failing that if the holes are worn you might be able to drill out and fit a slightly larger pin.
